Excellent experience on Avelo - even amid the government shutdown. The flight departed on time (a few minutes early in fact). All of the TSA agents at ILG were efficient, professional and friendly. I thanked each one of them and told them I am appreciative of their service amid the shutdown. The vending machines were all sold out unfortunately. There was a very nice TSA employee pointing out which machines worked and which didn’t (which turned out to be all but one). Hopefully they can restock these machines since they’re the only food options available. Try to bring a snack if possible. A fantastic experience overall and I would travel through here again and recommend to others.

Very small airport that as far as I can tell has one gate which you enter immediately after passing through security. Certainly much easier than any other airport I have been to as it shouldn’t take any more than 10 minutes from arrival to gate and that is stretching it. Don’t come hungry or expect a bar, but offers very convenient parking and tremendous ease without bells and whistles.

I recently flew with Avelo Airlines at Wilmington airport and had a genuinely great experience from start to finish. What impressed me most was how smooth and well-organized the boarding process was. Everything moved efficiently, with clear communication and no confusion or delays. It made the start of the trip feel calm and easy, which I really appreciated. Even more than that, the people working at Avelo made a lasting impression. Every employee I interacted with was kind, attentive, and clearly focused on making sure passengers felt comfortable and cared for. You could tell they genuinely enjoy helping people, and that kind of customer-first attitude goes a long way. It’s rare to find an airline that combines operational efficiency with such warm, personal service. That’s why I’ve already started recommending Avelo to friends and family. If you’re looking for a travel experience that’s both smooth and welcoming, I’d definitely suggest giving them a try. Thanks again to the Avelo team for making my flight such a positive one. Very nice regional airport in the area. Easy accessible , nominal parking fee $10. Small sized cell phone lot , friendly staffs .

Been flying in and out of this airport for a few years now unfortunately. It is a chair and an airstrip and not much more than that. Avelo does an okay job with their ILG to TPA route. Only had one issue and I've flown that route probably 13-14 times. No food or bar so don't come hungry. They have a vending machine if you want chips, and a water fountain. The seating area can get cramped. You will have to step over and around people and bags. Pretty sure this is some kind of fire code violation. Their TSA workers are pretty consistently mean as hell. Not sure what their deal is, they are always unprofessional with an attitude. I'm not expecting white glove service here but common decency would be appreciated. Don't come more than 25 minutes before the door closes. You don't want to have to be here that long. Other regional airports throughout the country are way better. This airport needs development.
