    First time flying with this outfit. Service was great from one of the flight attendants that helped me figure out how to retrieve my wi-fi code that I paid for $17.99. Evidently my company used my last name as my first name. This was apparently the reason why there was some question about my reservation as I checked my bag. I am happy to report my flight departure was as scheduled and I had to open my eyes to see that the plane was actually in the air😇. Cuddos to the pilot for an awesome take off. 👍🏼 The cons…the seats do not recline, however you can move the armrest out of the way to get out of your seat which is really nice. No movie screen. No complimentary beverage or snack from Chicago to Vegas. You have to pay for everything 🥴. Overall my experience was better than I had expected for a relatively inexpensive flight cost. $4.00 coffee and $ $4.50 water.

    Terrible experience. Flight delayed 7 hours then stuck overnight in Orlando Airport with not even. A vending machine for refreshment. 5 hours stuck here. My second time flying Spirit and second time being delayed and also overnight in the same airport. Will never use them again!!! BEWARE!!!! THEY DONT CARE!!

    Had an issue with my ticket; when a similar situation with Frontier happened a few years ago, Frontier simply remedied the issue despite it involving a third-party ticketing service. It was over in ten minutes. I spent almost 3 hours at Spirit and still had to spend an egregious amount of money to get home. I spent a little more so I could avoid taking Spirit home, but the experience I had was so incredibly offensive I am going as far as writing a review. While the desk staff I initially spoke to was kind, empathetic, and simplify unable under her role to help me out, the "manager" of this Spirit kiosk, a squat woman with black hair, was rude, crass, and incredibly caustic. She clearly had zero interest in being bothered, was incredibly unkind, and when I started to panic further continued to goad me about how "she's not giving me a free ticket" DESPITE SHOWING HER REEMS OF EVIDENCE I HAD PAID FOR A TICKET, INCLUDING RECEIPTS, A CONFIRMATION EMAIL, AND LOADS OF OTHER INFORMATION THAT A COMPETENT PERSON IN HER POSITION could have easily remedied. And even if she wasn't lying about what she could and couldn't do; again, I've had a similar issue before and it was handled flawless by a different airline. I asked her name so I could report her offensive and hostile behavior but she refused to give it to me because I'm sure she knew I'd be calling the corporate offices about the issue to let them know she fell short and I had to spend money if already spent on the same ticket home a day later...she literally stranded me in Chicago knowing full well she could have helped me. For whatever reason, likely her personal prejudices, she refused I know she me profiled the moment she got to the kiosk and decided then and there I wasn't worthy of the same respect as other customers. She escalated the situation with her condescending nature and the dehumanizing she speaks to the point where I just had to leave. I could feel myself getting madder than I wanted or would have if someone with better people skills and a less judgemental perspective. At a time where Spirit is filing for bankruptcy, you'd think they'd take the competence and character of their employees more seriously. I know we're all just trying to make it out here. But mean people shouldn't hold managerial positions.

    Traveling with Spirit for a few years now. I can say they are very professional and are a low-budget airline. They were also my first ever flight. I have had only one minor experience and it was negligence on my end so I covered the cost. I think people give this airline far little credit for the heavy lifting it does for so many people. No shame in being a Free Spirit Member

    Spirit Airlines is the definition of “you get what you paid for” it’s a “get you there from point A to B” form of transportation if only flying to short hour locations. Nothing more nothing less. It’s definitely not bad as people have made it seem. The company has grown in certain aspects for sure. Ticket prices are cheap and reasonable but that’s the gist! The amenities and incentives is what gets you! A checked bag ranges from $55 - $78 depending on your airport but that’s only from one airport to the next not including the total for both ways. Carry on is more expensive than checked bags. 1 Personal bag flies free. There is a package deal for all amenities bundled to help save. The wifi is decent but pricey for what it use to be and only for 1 device. I recommend just choosing “browsing” rather than “streaming” for connectivity. No free onboard snacks. You surely would have to pay for those things even though they have every convenient store tidbit possible, it’s not worth it in my opinion but go for it if you’d like. You pretty much are paying for everything else extra. A Spirit airline plane ticket being cheap is the catch alone. If you chose not to pay for seats they’ll assign you one usually being the window seats or the first outer row seat. Leg room isn’t an issue in my opinion I was able to stretch my legs out. The seats don’t recline but it’s not hard to lean back a little. The Seats are decent with the upgrades they made to them. Using spirit for my first time was a good experience despite the preliminary measure of getting to my gate due to the way O’Hare airport is setup. Overall i rate the airline a 3.9/5

Because of their unprofessional behavior, we lost our money and time. I will be taking legal action against Spirit Airlines and the employees involved for such unprofessional and unacceptable conduct. This company clearly hires workers who abuse their power and treat customers however they want Please choose another airline if you don’t want your flight delayed or ruined — it is worth paying more for a different airline and arriving at your destination in comfort and with peace of mind.
