Please read if you are not from the area and are traveling using this airport. The hours of the airport building do not start at 530am. The building is open before these hours…around 4/430am I believe. I lost my flight this am cuz I arrived to the airport when I thought it opened (5:30am) for my 6:13am flight (yah I get the 45min rule for places like delta, but everything is different in that town, so I just assumed show up at 5:30 and they check bags quick. Maybe I’m dumb, whatever) because they wouldn’t take my bag, since it was within 45min of the flight. So please, don’t make my mistake! I know I won’t ever again. Escanaba airport, please update your google listing to show accurate building hours!

Got two small children up at 4:30 for a 6:30 flight. Figured we'd have no trouble, because it's a small airport with few passengers for early flights--we were actually worried we'd get there before the staff. We weren't allowed to board because we arrived 40 minutes before takeoff instead of 45, meaning they wouldn't check our baggage. We had woken up our family, packed, loaded up the car, said goodbye for nothing. Had to change all of our travel plans for 5 minutes. Customer service was not sympathetic, we had to wait until the flight took off to attempt to rebook. We've also had problems with their overzealous TSA security in past, to the point where they wanted us to take out and unwrap decks of cards for being suspicious.

Great line staff! Super helpful airport manager. Cheap av fuel easy to get to. They had a great crew car. Wonderful for GA traffic. No comment on delta traffic or there work here. Can't wait for other runways to be open.

Great little one gate airport. Rental car office is right there too. The small jet bridge is rather unique; not all small airports have such a thing.

National car rental in the airport is great! I didn't fly, only rented a car. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Great car rental experience! It's so frustrating renting a car, they made it a pleasant experience!
