I was involuntarily bumped from my flight due to overbooking. I was promised a 500 dollar visa card as compensation which is less than the 4x ticket value required by DOT regulations. I also was not told my rights as an involuntarily bumped passenger as required by DOT regulations. I never recieved the 500 dollar visa card, and instead recieved a 500 dollar eVoucher that I could only use on delta flights or services, and expired the same day it was issued. I noticed afterwards that the employee had told their supervisor on the phone I volunteered, this was not true. The next day on the flight I was bumped to, they offered two people $1000 visa giftcards. Hope they got it, because these employees seem to do anything to get out of doing the right thing and following DOT regulations.
