I've flown Avelo Airlines several times since they started to New Haven CT in 2023. I love the local destination but the airport is very small. Avelo seems to be a good way to travel, they're 727's are newer and always clean. The pilots are nice, keeping us updated often. They have pleasant flight attendants and every flight in 3 years exceeding 6 has been on time. Impressive. I'm unexpectedly flying back to New Haven in a couple weeks. I'm hoping for the best with the tiny airport. Wish me luck. My complaint-Why are you booking flights every 15 minutes at this tiny airport. It was a nightmare today going back to Tampa.

First time trying one of these no frills carriers. Getting on in Wilmington was so much easier and cheaper than getting on in Philly. Tampa airport was easy. Parking in Wilmington was only $8 a day and I walked to the car. No shuttle. Will definitely fly again!!!

Currently sat 5 hours for my flight being delayed due to maintenance, then once the flight was cleared by the maintenance crew our pilot “timed out” for the day leaving all passengers sitting waiting for a new pilot to come in from lakeland. They continued on to tell us we have to wait another 2 hours for a new pilot. Poor poor poor initiative from this airline.

Had a flight from Wilmington NC and yesterday and we received the notification of delay for maintenance. Got to the airport moved from gate two to gate four back to gate two with no notification of how delayed the flight would be when we were expected to takeoff. That’s pretty unacceptable. Only received one delay notification and no communication at the airport except moving us from gate to gate. Finally arrived in Tampa at 9 PM and should’ve been there at 7:20.

Original flight to Florida from MA was cancelled and then rescheduled at a different airport and day. This caused us to have to alter our accommodations in Florida. The rescheduled flight to Florida was delayed twice by a total of 4 hours. We only got a text message about the first delay. Finding out it was delayed a second time was a surprise we found out about while checking our bags. The return flight to Massachusetts was also delayed by an hour and I received no text message about it. We found out while trying to check our bags. The whole Avelo experience was overall a bad one.
