It’s not in a fancy area, but wow, it has really clean, nice-sized rooms, with a gorgeous recently redone bathroom. And best of all, if you like a little adventure, just a short walk away you can catch an unofficial bus to NYC (Port Authority) for only $3.50 (cash only), that all the locals use. They come every few minutes, and take about 30 minutes to get to the Port Authority. They stop at all the NJ bus stops along the way. We took it in and back both days we stayed. Plenty of parking for our car. No fee to park. Free WiFi. Staff was very helpful. Room was super quiet. Bed was very comfortable.

From the moment we walked into Wyndham Garden North Bergen, the experience went downhill fast. The entire lobby reeked of this awful, sewage smell that hit you like a wall the second the doors opened. The staff were cold and borderline rude like you were bothering them just by checking in but fine, we tried to brush it off. Then came the room. Oh my god. The “bathroom” didn’t even have a lock. The shower had no privacy just glass doors that didn’t even reach the ceiling or floor, so you could literally hear and see everything from the bed. Whoever designed that clearly never stayed there. It felt like one big empty studio where privacy simply doesn’t exist. And the water pressure? Don’t even get me started. I could’ve stood outside in a drizzle and gotten cleaner faster. It was so weak that washing shampoo out of your hair felt like a workout. I don’t care if they’re trying to be “eco-friendly” there’s a difference between sustainable and unusable. To make matters worse, during check-in they scanned our IDs and didn’t return them until the next day. Who does that? It’s completely unacceptable to withhold someone’s ID overnight. All in all, this place was a total nightmare. Between the smell, the attitude, the zero privacy setup, and the awful water pressure, I wouldn’t stay here again if it were the last hotel in New Jersey.

Rooms are decent. Definitely clean. But a little in disrepair. Nothing huge but could use some touch ups. Hotel is a bit empty feeling. No vending anywhere but lobby and no snack store or anything. Also there’s quite literally NOTHING close by and it’s in a weird spot to make walking places sort of tough. Wouldn’t stay here again unless I had a car

Although there is a Restaurant there, my only problem was no Microwave in the room and only a stand up Shower wich was very nice but didn't fully accommodate our needs. But back to the Restaurant, it was amazing. The food was Excellent as well as the staff. I'd definitely go back. Management was precise and pleasing as well. Very clean!

I had a great stay at the Wyndham Garden in North Bergen, NJ! The staff was amazing—special thanks to Nolvia from housekeeping, Tom the driver, and Christine at the front desk. All of the employees, including the housekeepers and the maintenance staff who take care of the exteriors and interiors, were respectful, kind, and made me feel safe. The hotel is clean, fresh, in a safe area, and the free shuttle to Newark Airport is a big plus. Excellent service and great amenities—I’ll definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
