I thought I got a good deal until I went to check in and they hit me with a $400 dollars baggage charge, airplane very old, seats were coming off, windows did not open,on top they charge me $15 dollars per person to check in, I could've had spend $100 dollars less with another airline and I would have flight more comfortable and a better plane. Never again I will use this crook airline.

The app is the worst. There's no live agent. The "chatbot" isn't helpful at all. The customer service number also sucks. I hate flying in Volaris. Because once you get the desk to leave your baggage "something" went wrong and now you gotta pay for it again. Worst airline EVER. We should just really try to stop getting tickets from them so it can stop existing.

I had several interactions with Volaris staff and they were all very helpful.

What a nightmare it was. Our plane had a false landing in Mexico City. We had to land again and it scared the living hell out of me.

Flight: San José, Costa Rica → Miami, USA I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Volaris, and travelers deserve to be warned about their baggage pricing practices. I booked flights for my family of five through Expedia, where it clearly stated that checked bags would cost around $75 each. That price already felt high compared to other airlines, but I accepted it and was prepared to pay it. When we arrived at the airport in San José, Volaris charged $150 per checked bag and additional fees for a carry-on. Four checked bags and one carry-on totaled $729.99, which is outrageously above market rates. No other airline charges anything close to this at the counter. To make matters worse, the agent initially tried to charge $150 for the first bag and $200 for each additional bag because she put all the bags under one traveler. If I hadn’t caught it and demanded they distribute the bags across the five passengers, the price would have been even higher. This was not a small mistake — it came across as predatory and careless. The pricing was not clearly disclosed, the fees were inflated, and you are placed in a situation where you have no choice but to pay once you are at the counter. The entire experience felt misleading, opportunistic, and fundamentally unfair to customers who are just trying to check in and travel.

Horrible customer service. Changed 3 of my flights with no notice at all, no call, no text, no email. They canceled another flight completely with little notice. They changed one flight to 4 hours later with no notice at all. It is impossible to reach them. They have a phone that no one answers. They have a WhatsApp and I have waited 2 hours+ to get a response. When they finally respond, it will not be to the question you asked. Avoid this airline at all costs.
