This airline has very competitive pricing, but their newer planes have seats that don’t recline. For a trip longer than an hour it’s a nightmare. It becomes very uncomfortable.

HORRIBLE service. They dont pay attention to what they're doing and make everything harder than it needs to be. They dont listen when you try to tell them the most common of sense things, like we're on seat 39 all the way in the back. But Because they dont listen they sent us to the front with a toddler, on a full flight, causing us to go back and forth instead of listening to us. That was only 1 stupid thing they did. They also charge for EVERY little thing. And no im not some person from the states who's just cheap & just bitching. I fly almost every year in mexico & this is the WORST service I have ever received.

I purchased my flight 7 weeks before traveling. I arrived at the airport 3 hours before my flight. I was told it was oversold and I could fly standby on the flight I paid for… but I probably would not get on. Or my direct flight could be changed to one with three layovers. STAY AWAY. Super bad.

They stole 2 rings from my checked bag. They said they do not compensate but will give me 1000 pesos in ecredit. I am still waiting on the credit and they haven’t replied to my messages regarding the status.

2 hrs delayed to Cancun and 3+ hrs delayed back to TJ. But the worst of all is the seats. Seating 4.5 hrs each way on this is brutal. No cushion on a big metal tube and thin plastic. Honestly Volaris is working their way to be the worst airline in the market.

I give Volaris 3 stars because they can do much better. My tickets started at $59 USD and ended up costing over $250 by the time all the add-ons were done, feels like a bait-and-switch situation. They charge for everything: picking a seat, bringing a bag, having a snack… you name it. On my latest flight, they even changed some regulations that don’t allow you to have any small bag or even a fanny pack attached to your body if you’re seated at an emergency exit. (Which you paid more for) Try to ask why, and you’re immediately told “you can discuss with the supervisor outside” So no honest answer allowed, just you risk getting in trouble, delay or get kicked out of the plane. To top it off, the service has really gone downhill. The flight attendants completely skipped about six to eight rows, including mine, offering nothing not even water. They rushed by, mumbled something like “y’all ok right?” and went straight back to their seats and phones. There was no turbulence, no safety issues, and still 45 minutes to go before landing. It just feels like the care and professionalism that used to make Volaris a good fare-cost option are fading away. They have the market access and potential to do so much better, they just need to start acting like they care again.
