When you buy your tickets please make sure your reservation is valid and confirmation is ready before your flight , my grandparents had their tickets and when we went to the check in at the airport they told us their reservation was invalid to call customer service and we did we were told it was cancelled because the payment “ didn’t go through. We call the bank and they told us it did went through so we call their customer service again and explain we did get charged with proof of the receipt that’s when they refunded the money back. Beware of scam it’s such a waste of time and such inconvenience to make us wait and not let us know it was “cancelled”

Read bunch of the reviews, and seemingly all have a lot in common. Things do happen like mechanical delays and not much can be done. Its extremely few and far in-between. To avoid ticketing & baggage issues, please please please. Never and I do mean NEVER book with a 3rd party website. Book direct on the airlines website, 95% of the time the price is the exact same for the basic fare. Which Basic fares that include nothing extra is the only ticket type 3rd party can sell. Volaris will have complete control of the ticket and less likely to have something go wrong. And always purchase your bags ahead of time if you don't pay a higher fare. So many times people end up shocked that they have to pay extra when they book 3rd party, but it's because folks don't read as to what they buy. If you pay for everything ahead of time, check in online, and show up with plenty of time (give yourself extra time during peak holiday season, everywhere will be busy and crowded) you will have a good experience getting from point A to B.

Don't use this airline. Flew with them on November 21 2024 paid 100 dollars for my luggage 1 bag and bag never made to Mexico City. Hard to get a hold of anyone to help me with this issue and they just give you the run around. Even the lady at the ticket counter Lidia has been of no help. Better to use Aeromexico they have great service or even, Viva aerobus.

Worst service ever. We used cheapoair to get tickets, then had to contact volaris separately to book additional check-in bags for round trip. We had no issues on the first trip. In the return trip the attendant at the airport couldn't find the checked bags we booked. Stressed and out of time, we had to pay a second time for the checked bags for the return trip. Not to mention, we had to have our personal items checked in as carry-on items and had to pay more for that as well, even though the first trip with them were considered personal items and now all of a sudden they have to be registered as carry on because attendant said so, the personal items weigh the same by the way. There's no chance of speaking to a customer service rep over the phone when needed due to their subpar automated system. This company should fix their mediocre service and hire competent attendants.

I’m very displeased with my experience with Volaris. I tried to pay for my luggage through their app ahead of time to avoid paying extra at the counter, but the app was not working. I even showed proof of the issue, yet I was still charged the full amount — more than 50% higher than what was shown in the app. It’s disappointing that Volaris didn’t honor the app price despite the technical problem being on their end.
