    Had to upgrade for our 7 hour flight to Frankfurt, $400. never could have survived with this seating. It's all about profit. We had 2 inches from the back ofthe seat in front of us, disgraceful.

    My flight was delayed getting in, and I was forced to check my carry on bag and told I would be able to get it no problem (there were tons of open bins on the plane, BTW, so there was no need for this at all) I had to clean myself up on landing because I started my period during the flight and all of my menstrual products were in the bag that they took away. By the time I got down to baggage claim, they’d locked my bag in an office and completely left. Less than half an hour after after I deplaned, when all but one of the bathrooms in the terminal were closed for cleaning. I was met with blame from United customer service for not “getting there faster” (I guess I should’ve just gone covered in blood?!?). I think 30 min is a reasonable time to wait.

    I had specifically requested the fragile label to be placed on my brand new suitcase before boarding. Inside were gifts from friends and some delicate pastries. However, upon landing, I was greeted with a suitcase missing a wheel and a mess of shattered pastries. When I approached the customer service center, I was merely given instructions on how to file a complaint on my own. I'm left wondering why I even bother working so hard to accumulate miles towards becoming a Gold Member if this is the level of service I receive. It’s frustrating and disappointing.

    Everyone seems to have horror stories about Airlines. I ordered my plane tickets at least a month in advance. My return trip ticket was changed one week prior to the date of my trip. That I could deal with. Finding out that my departure ticket was cancelled when I arrived at the airport two hours prior to my scheduled flight is my horror story. Fortunately United Airlines have wonderful service people who are helpful polite and accommodating. I am giving a shout out to Valera Jr. for his calm demeanor throughout my ordeal.
