Melissa Patane booked our dream honeymoon to the French Polynesian Islands! We stayed at the Hilton, Moorea and the Westin, Bora Bora! Without Melissa and her team, we honestly wouldn’t have had a honeymoon. I had no idea where to start with flights, transfers, or inter-island logistics, and she coordinated it all from overseas **seamlessly**. Her resort recommendations fit our budget, and we absolutely loved our stay in Bora Bora. It was truly a dream come true. That said, I wish there had been a bit more personal guidance throughout the process. We met other couples on our trip whose travel agents offered phone or video calls, shared tips about what to expect at each resort, and explained the amenities available, which are things that would have made our trip feel more thought-through. We put full trust in Melissa and her team and did little research myself because we were so busy with wedding planning. Unfortunately, the Hilton Moorea didn’t acknowledge our honeymoon, which may have been the hotel’s oversight, but was disappointing nonetheless. The final cost also ended up slightly higher than the original quote (not by much), and communication slowed after we paid our initial deposits, so I had to reach out to confirm details and select our flight seats, which I thought had already been handled earlier in the process. Overall, Melissa and Fer made our once in a lifetime honeymoon possible and we had an incredible time!

I’ve used Andy for years now, booking several trips to Jamaica and Mexico! I love that he always provides options/recommendations within budget and takes the stress out of planning. I appreciate the transportation coordination while in another country as well. The resort at this last trip had to make some changes to our reservation and it was nice to have Andy as a contact if needed for support or questions. Melissa Patane helped my mother and I plan our dream trip to Ireland! Any questions or problems that we had were dealt with immediately and the whole process was so smooth. Having someone that we could trust to book the travel and hotels allowed us to focus on the fun details of our trip. Melissa and her team made traveling to another country manageable. We had a wonderful time thanks to their hard work!

I used Melissa Patane to book my honeymoon in Italy as she was highly recommended in the Brides of Long Island facebook group. I was really excited to use her and was willing to pay the fee she charges because she was so highly rated. Unfortunately we got off to a bit of a rocky start. I had given her 3 locations I wanted to stay in, with a hotel in one being a must. I gave her my budget and she came back with a quote for hotels and some transfers (ferries, trains) at 90% of my max budget for the entire trip. I was already booking my own flights using my miles so this was not included. I knew the one hotel I definitely wanted to stay in was on the more expensive side so I was willing to compromise on the other two to help make up for it. This didn’t seem to go over well with her and she didn’t want to book other hotels that were not the ones she initially recommended. I tried to be understanding because I know at the end of the day if something doesn’t go well her name is on it, but it was a bit frustrating. I started doing my own research and found another area on the amalfi coast that was still beautiful, but much cheaper. She had booked there before and agreed to book. I wasn’t happy that I had to do my own research to find something more in my price range rather than her doing this for me. The whole reason I used a travel agent was so l wouldn’t have to do as much research while planning a wedding. Once we came to an agreement and everything was booked, she passed me along to a woman on her team named Fernanda to help with booking additional excursions, transfers etc. Fernanda sent over some links to Viator for the excursions which I was a little surprised at. I felt like going on Viator was something I could do myself and she wasn’t providing anything special. So I ended up going through her recommendations, sending some ideas of my own for feedback and ultimately just booking them through Viator myself because I didn’t feel the need to have her just charge my card through the website for me. She also doesn’t book restaurants, but did give recommendations. She was helpful when it came to transfers both prior to the trip and while we were there. We had an issue where the driver didn’t show to bring us to the train so I contacted the cab company and they sent an uber for us, but we missed our train. Fernanda was able to rebook our train and get us a 50% refund from the cab company. She also booked us a semi last minute ride to the airport since we hadn’t booked that prior. Overall our honeymoon was amazing. The hotels we were in were all so beautiful. However, only one knew that it was our honeymoon. The other two had no idea until they asked why we were traveling. We were hoping to get some perks or upgrades, even just a bottle of champagne in the room, but that didn’t happen despite what I’ve seen Melissa post on Instagram from other couples she’s worked with. Although everything did turn out well in the end, I don’t think I will be using Melissa again in the future.

I can’t thank this travel agent company enough-they set us up for a perfect honeymoon in Hawaii. Constantly offering us suggestions for our trip, speedy responses, diverse opinions on what best suits us for this trip. They even gave us surprise gifts for our rooms at each island. We were treated like royalty at the hotels thanks to their early set ups for us. Best trip we will ever go on.
