We will definitely use her again on any future travels. Everything went great. We told her where, she and how much we could affor. We got just what we asked for. Great job Donna. I found this travel agency via Google and based on reviews, I chose this agency. I have worked with travel agents before and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. To begin with, the hours for reaching my assigned agent were very spotty. I was asked for a budget at the beginning of planning and it was completely ignored. I ended up spending over $1000 more than what I initially planned for. (The budget was per person) When we arrived at the resort, we were told to pay a $50/day resort fee. This was an unexpected charge of $400. This unexpected charge was not factored into the budget nor was it part of the over $1000 more I had already spent. Why not choose a different place? Once you pay your $400 deposit, the more time that goes by, the less money you can get back, and that includes the money you are paying towards your trip. In addition, the rooms that I chose were not the rooms we received. They were old and dingy. We were not all in the same tower, and every room had an issue. We were supposed to be greeted by an agent at the airport once we reached our destination and we were not told where we would meet them. We had to ask and figure it out ourselves. We were under the impression that a travel agent would make planning our trip easier and smoother but we would have been better off doing it ourselves. Everything was done with Delta Vacations and all of the excursions that we decided to do, we found them. Nothing was recommended or scheduled for us. When hiring a travel agent, you expect to have an easy, stress free process. My agent was only good at reminding us of our payment deadlines. She did the barest minimum that was required of her. The unexpected expenses even caused a portion of our traveling party to have to sit out on activities because we were not prepared to fork out such a large amount of money. To make matters worse, when asking about the resort fees, the agent did not seem to care and stated that it was in the emails she sent us previously--it wasn't with the exception of the email we received about a week before our departure date.
