Our Spirit Airlines flight was delayed over 7 hours with constant promises of ‘30 more minutes.’ We were stuck on a hot plane, kids were crying, the staff was rude, and they didn’t even offer water or snacks the entire time. I missed an important business meeting because of this. Worst airline experience I’ve ever had — avoid Spirit if you value your time and basic respect.

I want to thanks that young lady that helped me and my girlfriend to take the flight, she made it super easy, thanks to her in houston tx airport George Bush (iAH), "Karen Orellana "she is one of the Best,God bless her,she should be a supervisor or manager cause she really care about the people that was around 4:30 am 10/05/25,we really appreciate her support, thanks "karen" and hopefully the others two woman's that work right next to you get to learn good costumers services from you.

Overall been pretty good. The worse thing that they allow was that changing a flight online through their website is 2ce as expensive than buying the same fight as a one way and sometimes they just cancel flights instead of rescheduling.

At first I wasn't crazy about the tiny seats because I chose to fly the lowest rate available...but then on my round trip back, I chose extra leg room and aisle seating! I was super happy with the stewardesses and stewards. Best thing I can say is there's a way to take a trip without taking a huge bite out of savings!!

Rude employee very rude !!!! She hanged the phone in my face !!!! What’s wrong with this company it need to shut down!!!!! They told me they don’t have the option to buy the bags online it has to be at the front desk and it’s 60$ Whenever i arrived to the front desk they charge me 90$ each !!!’ And when ever I called the company the lady told me oh yea it’s cheaper online !!!! But the guy I booked the ticket with said I can’t do it online!! , and when I called to ask why they charge me 90 the lady was literally mad on me she shouted and she hanged the phone in my face!!! I’m really so upset. the ticket that I booked is for my niece and she is a minor and I paid 150$ extra for someone to stay with her because I thought this company will be the safest for kids but I was WORNG Very disappointed,,, and don’t you ever let your kids travel alone with spirit If I can remove the one star I would 👎👎👎

don’t usually write bad reviews, but my recent experience with Spirit Airlines was so frustrating that I feel it’s important to share. From start to finish, everything about this trip was stressful and disappointing. First, my flight was delayed multiple times with very little communication from the airline. Passengers were left sitting at the gate for hours without clear updates or explanations. When the delay eventually turned into a cancellation, there was no proper assistance provided — just long lines and confused travelers trying to figure out what to do next. The customer service was unhelpful and hard to reach. When I finally managed to speak to someone, they couldn’t give me any concrete answers about rebooking or compensation. I ended up spending extra money on food and a hotel because Spirit didn’t offer any vouchers or support. When I finally flew out the next day, the plane was uncomfortable and cramped, and even basic amenities like water or snacks had to be purchased. I understand Spirit is a budget airline, but the lack of care and communication made the experience feel much worse than it needed to be. What really bothered me most was the poor communication and lack of accountability. Problems happen — delays and cancellations are sometimes unavoidable — but the way Spirit handles them is unprofessional. There was no sense of empathy or urgency to help passengers who were stranded or upset.
