We were supposed to depart at 7:20pm. We are sitting on the flight, literally seated and belted, it’s 7:57pm. We aren’t moving. lol. The is the second time I’ve flown Spirit. The first time was flying here to New Orleans. I probably will not be flying Spirit again. Currently, other passengers are getting upset because we aren’t moving! I don’t blame them because why have we been sitting down, buckled in, for 40 minutes now and we still aren’t moving? Is this something that happens regularly with Spirit Airlines? Simple question, yes or no? Edit: It’s 8:15pm and still not up in the air. Actually the opened the door and having a great giggly time meanwhile it’s a full aircraft and still not moving. No updates. We were supposed to depart at 7:20pm.

they screw you over anyway they can. I had a round trip ticket. they changed the time of the 1st flight and I was not able to make it in time. so because I missed the 1st flight they canceled my return flight without telling me. no refund no credit nothing. they stole my money.

Absolutely, the worst airline and has been for the last few years. Started my trip a few days ago, at airport at 4pm had us on the tarmac, after an hour and a half, then canceled our flight and told us to rebook. Barely made it on that same day flight, which was the last flight, leaving that night. Arrived at destination by 1am insured of 7pm. Time to return and for whatever unknown reason, the dumb rep canceled my return flight that was scheduled for 630am. So I go to the airport like a dummy with no flight, no cancellation email, nothing. Ended up purchasing a third flight for the same week for $112 with a 1 stop from New Orleans to Fort Lauderdale with a 2 hr layover in Orlando. Been at the airport since 5am and was stuck in airports all day until 9pm. We're supposed to arrive at 8am what time to rest before work. But nope! Not with spirit. Arrived by 9pm with no time and headed straight to work for 10pm. Worst airline ever. Worst experience ever. DO NOT BOOK UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY and you have time to lose.

Spirit out of New Orleans is ratchet even by Spirit standards. Duct taped tray tables in the Go Big seats that you pay quite a bit extra for on the LA-New Orleans flight. Rude, nasty staff that roll their eyes at customers. Oh and as an added bonus it took an hour and ten minutes to get our bags at their baggage claim. Basically it's Waffle House in the sky. Spend the few extra dollars for a real airline.

Its spirit, you already know. Cramped seats/flight changes multiple times (changing flight times & adding layovers when you bought a one-way flight), the worst of the worst passengers (loud / on phone / crying babies / barking dogs / etc). No staff at baggage areas (huge waits to check in baggage), scales broken, had to go to a different area to weigh my luggage. Pros: Arrived alive, cheap $$. Cons: Everything, you get what you pay for, never again for me.
