I feel badly for the people that have had such bad experiences whenever they flew with Spirit, as I can honestly say that after flying close to 50 flights (and I'm boarding another in just a few hours out of San Antonio), I've only had one negative interaction and that was with a horribly rude and just plain mean, gate agent. Because I fly a lot, I've learned to go with whatever airline will give me the best price for what I need. That being said, if I need to bring checked bags with me, then I would fly Southwest because you get two 50lb bags for free, plus your one free personal item that goes under the seat. (My personal piece happens to be a small duffle that holds a LOT, including my purse inside of it, yet it still fits under the seat 😁) Southwest doesn't have very comfortable seats tho, and that's when I began using Spirit. United and Delta have seat upgrades but they are too rich for me lol, and Spirit's seats are great, in my opinion. Sadly tho, Spirit will no longer fly in and out of San Diego beginning in October, and so now I get to reexamine the competition and find a new favorite again.

Very quiet then domesticater roosters and hens start early to interact. The facilities are recently renovated. Ocean and pool is very nice. However this place is tucked away remote residential neighborhood. $25 to $30 US to the airport.

I did not realize no carry ons were allowed (my error) but the small duffle bags/backpacks of my kids actually fit in the personal item box so were allowed initially and only two were charged. Got to another airport and the staff refused to let any bags through, even though they fit the size requirement and our home airport allowed them. Ended up paying literally 6 people times 80$ bags each for additional backpack that actually fit in the personal items each way. It was sad to see many others like us all forced to line up and pay for personal bags that were previously allowed mid transferring flights because someone at an airport was misusing power and because Spirit, which is doing a good thing to offer affordable fairs, does not have consistent policy across the US and does not clearly communicate when purchasing what no bags and size means. There was a line of at least 7 people who were transferring who had to do this, including elderly people.

They're a subgrade airline. The price is good, but the saying "you get what you pay for" holds true with this airline. I had a flight attendant tell me "don't yell at me" when I asked he when she passed by me "excuse me", very unprofessional in my opinion, and if I was yelling at her, believe that whole plane would have heard what I was going to say.

Never ever use this air company to fly with your pets. They charged me 600$ more at the counter in the airport and total was 1300$ for one way domestic flight! That was my birthday and I was treated as a dog, forced to buy extra seat and pay 5 times for the luggage I already paid for during my booking. Also I followed all the requirements and rules regarding flying with pets,l called spirit support twice prior to my flight, and made a booking through the phone with all details, paid again and then even upgrade my flight and eventually at the airport the agent and her manager created their own rules against rules on the air company web-site . Now they don't want to refund anything! Do not use for your and your PETS!
