    The airline had many incidents of emergencies, but it doesn't affect us flying this airline. It is fun riding the 737. The plane itself is in good condition but the checked bags aren't free

    I have been a loyal customer of Southwest since the late 70's, and have even booked numerous vacations through their licensee. No more. Just had to cancel a vacation due to a spinal injury (yes, I bought the insurance through the Southwest Vacations booking. SW now refuses to refund the fare, and advised I had to use it within 3-1/2 months. Only the hotel (which is fully refundable up to 24 hours of arrival) was reimbursed. Fine. They have taken away any and every benefit that set them apart from the other airlines. There is no reason to fly Southwest as they are removing many direct flights from major hubs (Houston) and are involving long layovers for connections. 16 hours from Houston to Seattle? Sheesh! For the different 'tiers', none are worth it. Seats are hard and cramped and even the cabin stewards have become surly. It was a good ride while it lasted! May Southwest go the route of Spirit!

    Been a big fan of SWA for years, but bags no longer fly free. I just paid $80 and I booked before the announcement. Now they're just like anyone else. Except for you don't even get a seat. I can put up with a lot but not if you have to pay for bags too. It's why I flew SWA consistently for years. That and their funny flight attendants.

    Southwest Airlines has struggled with frequent delays during my recent travels, and the level of customer service has not met expectations. There is room for significant improvement in both communication and reliability.

    Worst airline, only airline that has twice taken me to a different city than where I was going. Bad communication, bad customer service, and not cheaper than other airlines anymore. The worst flying experiences I have ever had are with Southwest!!!!!!! Plane smells like baby poop!!!! And they donโ€™t have enough gates, they are literally the worst.

    Two flights canceled on a Friday. They give you 0 reasons as to why. If you upgraded your boarding to early check-in, they don't keep that when they rebook you, which we paid to be sit together and now who knows. They offer no apologies. Never fly here, pay more and fly at a real airport

    God willing this is the LAST time I ever fly with this company. I don't know why my employer insists on booking flights with them. I was forced to check my backpack before boarding because "They ran out of room in the overhead compartments." Then when I got on the plane they had PLENTY of room. I hope they don't lose my luggage again, I have medical supplies in there. Next time mg work wants me to fly somewhere, I'm going to ask if I can just rent a car instead.

    ZERO STARS. We have a $500 gift card we bought our senior citizen mother for Christmas. The gift card number is readable but the PIN number is damaged so the gift card can't be redeemed. We asked Southwest to simply VOID that gift card and replace it with a gift card that is not damaged AND THEY REFUSED. From an accounting perspective, this $500 is a liability on SOUTHWEST AIRLINES BOOKS. This is a horrible way to treat a customer, with status and miles on the airline. Do not ever buy a gift card for this brand and be careful. They don't care about customer experience or fairness.

    Worst airline to use if you want to get home on time. They intentionally structure their flight patterns to be point to point, knowing it delays all flights! Its a for profit scheme. You could buy a flight at 10pm for cheap, or spend a little more for the 8pm early flight, but they'll still make sure you leave at 10 and they get their extra money. They use outdated equipment. Deplane to turn the power on and off, like that fixed the plane? Did that make anyone feel comfortable flying?? Absolutely a scam to fly with them.
