I always have a good experience with SW air. It used to be very inexpensive. Their price have gone up. And I'm also a Rapid Rewards member. I'ved accumulated and redeemed a points many times before. I've been to disney world because of SW rapid rewards. I also like that southwest accepts paypal as a form of payment. I would rather use paypal than use a credit card to book a flight online. It is easy and most of all, it is safe. Website is easy to navigate. SW air got a good loyalty reward system. Highly recommend. I give it a 5 stars. Booking system is easy to use.

My mom and l arrive at our gate (B64) very early. With the weather up in the air we wanted to make sure we were here. The flight before our flight was about to board and the AWESOME gate agent (Darlene) came to us to ask if we were on the Denver flight (because my mom was in a wheelchair and she wanted to make sure we got pre-boarded). This meant a LOT to my mom because she is 84 years old and travels a lot. Many times the gate agents are not attentive to the needs of senior passengers which is why l try to make sure l always travel with her so she doesn’t experience the of anxiety of being left at a gate to find out the gate changed and no one was right there with her to get her where she needed be in a timely fashion. Darlene at gate B64 8/30/23 11:59am is the absolute best!!!!!

UPDATE: Being the fair person I like to think that I am, I must provide an update on my Air Tran experience. I'm still unhappy about the baggage charges when Air Tran is supposed to be a part of the Southwest Airlines system. However, the day of our trip, we had to change planes in Atlanta. The connecting flight was two hours after we landed, but David noticed an earlier flight posted at the gate scheduled for our connection. We asked if we could fly standby for the earlier flight. Not only did they accommodate our request, AT NO ADDITIONAL COST, but our checked baggage was pulled to make the same flight change. We were really pleased to arrive in Tampa earlier than expected. ORIGINAL GRIPE First time I've ever had a real issue with Southwest Airlines. DO NOT EVER book an Air Tran flight at the Air Tran site - they charge for checked bags, even though they are supposed to be part of the Southwest system. Am learning the hard way that it costs $30/bag to check them. I almost exclusively use Southwest whenever I travel because they service the cities I need to visit, and have had Air Tran connections on some of those flights. Apparently, if booked through SW, you still get two free bags - not so, if you book through Air Tran. Double standard - they merged more than a year ago and still have inconsistencies. What a rip off!! Can you tell I am really unhappy!!!!! Considering the frequency of travel between David and I, with Southwest/Air Tran, this is leaving a really bad taste in my mouth. Buyer beware!

"Keisey" the gate attendant at dca flight 1427 4/8/2 at 1:45pm was extremely rude. Asked her name, Catherine and Thomas at customer service claimed to be Temps that didn't know anyone's name. The manager "cherise" was equally unprofessional. Turned an otherwise good experience into a nasty one that would make me never want to fly southwest again. When I asked for the customer service information I was told, just call the 1800 number. Manager didn't even ask what the issue was, just said call the number and walked away. Trash.

Great customer service and very friendly staff. Check-in was smooth, fast, and happy!
