I chose Simplexity Travel because I wanted expert guidance for a destination I’d never visited (Iceland) and a memorable itinerary to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Unfortunately, my experience hasn’t reflected the value I expected. I saw great reviews, particularly for Holly on here so I was excited to speak with her. To start, Holly was courteous and enthusiastic on the phone—she suggested some unique ideas for Finland and Norway, but for Iceland the main recommendation was the Reykjavík EDITION (a solid 5-star city hotel, but not exactly unique). I had shared a budget and said I’d prefer to fly business class if it could be done within that budget. The confirmation arrived with economy flights. When I queried this—having seen that British Airways Holidays showed business class fares with the same hotel/room at a comparable total price—I was first told I hadn’t requested business class as my emails didn’t specify but they would check call recordings, then advised that the agency’s quote included a dining credit. Even so, I couldn’t see a clear justification for paying more for an economy package than a business-class package I could book myself. Hoping the agency’s destination knowledge would make the difference, I asked for help planning an itinerary. I was passed to the hotel’s guest services, whose excursion prices were very high. I asked Simplexity for more reasonably priced alternatives and whether hiring a car would be better than booking multiple tours. The response—“either is fine, it’s personal preference”—didn’t feel like the grounded, proactive advice I was looking for. Having now arrived, my advice to other travellers is clear: if you’re comfortable driving, rent a car in Iceland. The bus-to-bus approach is time-consuming, uncomfortable in the cold, and not necessarily cheaper. There’s no Uber option from what I checked on my app, and hotel taxis for longer distances can be very expensive. Key practicals were also missed. For example, I learned at the airport that a taxi into the city could be ~£200-300—useful budgeting guidance I would have expected ahead of time. Communication was inconsistent. Holly remained professional and pleasant, but several emails bounced with out-of-office replies and were picked up by a colleague, Abs, whose tone I found challenging. I asked to speak with Mark about service concerns, but that never materialised. I’m writing this during my trip and, so far, I haven’t seen the benefit of using this agency over booking directly via BA Holidays or Amex and doing my own research (reviews, forums, etc.). I truly hope others have a great holiday—every trip should feel special—but if you’re undecided, you may be better served by planning independently or considering another company, and you might save money in the process. Pros: Holly’s manner and willingness to help. Cons: Pricing/value unclear vs booking direct; limited Iceland-specific insight; lack of proactive, practical advice (e.g., car hire, transfers); inconsistent communication and tone.

Thank you so much to Simplexity Travel and to Holly. We booked a month in South America for our honeymoon. The whole process was super easy. Holly worked with our budget and came up with a really special experience. We chopped and changed bits around too and she was very patient. We messaged her through our travels when we had questions and she answered our queries. Amazing experience. We will use them again!

Our trip to Europe was amazing, thanks the the Simplexity Travel Management team for arranging a phenomenal itinerary! The hotels we stayed in were carefully selected and are all located at the center of where all the fun things to visit or restaurants to eat at are all within a walking distance. Our transfer using the trains and planes were strategically arranged to have enough time in the day to sightsee. It was a wonderful experience and will definitely use them again in the future. Highly recommended!
