Wow! We are world travelers and have experienced many tour guides but this couple is at the top of our favorite list! Derek & Rachel were the friendliest, most real people we've ever had the honor of making life changing memories with. The Manatuska Glacier all day tour was like going on a hike on a glacier with our family. Such genuine people who truly love what they do. Their passion for what they do is infectious and made the tour so much more thrilling. I would not want to take the tour again if I couldn't go with them. They came right to our hotel to pick us up, drove us an hour to stop for a break while explaining the sights all around. We drive another hour to the glacier and told us on the drive what to expect and all the does & dont's when walking on the glacier. They were very professional, safe, and willing to work with the group based on the group's wants & desires along the way. The views were spectacular on the glacier, they made us feel very safe and explained everything we were doing & about to do along the way. After the incredible hike we had an amazing lunch at the Long Rifle Lodge where you sat in the restaurant looking out over the front of the glacier. Majestic views and great conversation was had at the end of the tour. We then took the 2 hour drive back to Anchorage where they left us with great recommendations on where to eat and do things. This was the start of our week here in Alaska and Derek & Rachel have set the bar very high. Salmon Berry Tours- you have a couple of gems. Take good care of them!

A really impressive tour of Anchorage hosted by a passionate local Rachel under the direction of the Salmon Berry team. The rain held off as we headed for Cook Inlet, the location of huge tides, followed by a drive towards Flat Top stopping at the Glen Alps Trailhead offering great views and the scenic drive via some remarkable homes. On the way back we stopped at the Earthquake Park after seeing the extensive seaplane fleet on Lake Hood. Lastly we were dropped off at the colorful Mush District finishing line of the annual Iditarod Race .would definitely recommend! Thanks again!

Great, locally-owned company with wonderful guides. Turnagain Turn Tour offered beautiful views. A highlight of our visit to the Wildlife Center was up close viewing of bears. Our guide, Bill, was wonderful. Knowledgeable, right down to knowing the names of all the animals at the Wildlife Center. He is also fun and very accommodating. The office staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable. Julie, our guide on a second tour, was also wonderful.

I cannot understate how great of a time I had while going with Salmon Berry for a tour of the Matanuska Glacier! I went back in May and couldn't have been more fortunate to have David, Julie, and Lou Mei to guide us on our tour! They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the Glacier and the surrounding area. I also really appreciated their willingness to help when we needed it! The bus ride was smooth, and the sights were breathtaking. To top it off, we went to the Long Rifle Lodge for food, and it was delicious. By the end of the day, I was tired but incredibly thrilled by the experience I had. Thank you, Salmon Berry, from a Marylander! I'm looking forward to making another trip!

Josh and Lu Mei were fantastic - very knowledgeable and engaging. I loved that the tour was small in size (5 participants), which made it so we could really get to know our guides and ask questions along the way. The drive to the glacier was beautiful, and the hike was enjoyable. Would highly recommend Salmon Berry if you are looking for a Matanuska glacier hiking tour.
