Ana is an amazing travel agent. She has managed to successfully tailor our trips to our personal liking. She always goes above and beyond and manages to respond even on weekends and when we had flight cancellations, she made sure we were okay. We have enjoyed both trips she had planned for us (our land tours in Italy for my birthday and Mediterranean cruise for our anniversary). We definitely recommend her and River Oaks Travel Agency.

I really enjoyed working with Ana at River Oaks Travel Agency! I reached out to her wanting to book a kid friendly trip to Mexico with an ocean view. She sent me multiple venues and prices within the date ranges. She responded very quickly for any changes or questions that I had. Scotland and Ireland 2025 – The Grand Trip I have been fortunate enough to have done some travel in my days. When looking back I’ve thought, how lucky am I to have seen and experienced the places I’ve been. I was planning a trip to Scotland and Ireland, two places I’ve never been to on vacation. What would it be like? It was just a friend and I so it will be a different trip than with our usual group of friends. We worked with Kate from River Oaks Travel Group to plan our journey. Two weeks seemed like a lot of time but enough to get a sense of both countries. We dug into the details: locations, accommodations, experiences, food, and modes of transportation. Lots to sort through!! It was finally time to take off on our adventure in late March/early April. We were ready for anything! I don’t think either one of us expected what we have both described as a ‘trip of a lifetime!’ We were certainly blessed with remarkable weather…nearly bluebird skies for 2 weeks! It was stunning. We stayed at premier hotels and resorts in Scotland during our stays in Edinburgh, Braemar, and Perthshire. The service was impeccable. I’ll mention two of the unexpected, magnificent experiences we had. At the Fife and Arms, our whisky sommelier (Mark) mentioned that with the weather being so clear we should talk to the concierge to see if the ‘stargazer’ guide was available. We asked and they were able to set us up with him the next evening. Jim came by at 9pm and gave us an excellent slide show on the constellations that we would see on our adventure. Off we went into town with our walking sticks, headlamps, past the church, and up a hill (through someone’s backyard) and up we continued to go. At some point, Jim said ‘this is where we’ll stop.’ We looked up and yes, indeed, it was clear enough (and with a full moon to boot!) to see all the stars on the list. About ten minutes in, Jim said, there it is! He showed us how to take a night picture with time lapse to capture what was our first sighting of the Northern Lights!! It's something that was on our bucket list and we sure didn’t expect to see it on this trip. It was thrilling!! Breathtaking, magical even. Here are a few shots. We took as many photos as we could. It seemed to show up just for us and within 30 minutes it had vanished. The second unexpected experience was when we were at Gleneagles Resort. It is a remarkably grand place. We worked our way through our well-planned itinerary and after our morning outing with Ian (our air rifle coach), he reminded us that dropping us back off at the resort might be challenging because of the ‘finish line’ being in front of the building. What finish line? What we didn’t know about is every year at this time the Flying Scotsman Road Race concludes at Gleneagles…certainly a fitting place after 650 miles and four days of racing pre-1948 cars. We got back from our excursion to see all the cars ‘finish’ to bagpipes playing, champagne flowing and the joy of happy drivers and fans to close out an amazing day at this glorious place. We celebrated all of it at the Century Bar and the Andrew Fairlie, the Michelin restaurant. Fabulous! Our days in Ireland were equally gorgeous and our trip was packed with world-class accommodations in Dublin, Cork, and Cong and the service was exceptional. Our trip concluded as it started, in spectacular fashion at Ashford Castle! Jaw-dropping amazing! Our one regret is that we didn’t have more time here…but it is on our next Ireland trip list…as is continuing to recommend and work with Kate and the River Oaks Travel team. A world-class travel planning experience and with a travel app that worked flawlessly. Imagine all your daily plans and activities literally in the palm of your hand…all you need do is show up and enjoy!!

We had the absolute best and most memorable time in Italy with the help of Ana at River Oaks Travel Agency! She was so responsive and we loved all of her pics for hotel and restaurant, as well as arranging tours. This was our first time in Italy, without her help, we would have not have had such a seamless and enjoyable time. Thank you so much, Ana!! We will definitely be returning
