Worst Experience Ever – Unprofessional and Disrespectful I have never had such a terrible experience with a company in my life. The employees clearly do not know international travel rules and seem to make up their own. My wife is Iraqi and was traveling to Iraq with our daughter, who was born in the United States. Our daughter has a U.S. birth certificate that clearly lists my wife’s name, which means she also holds Iraqi nationality through her mother. Despite this, the staff in Qatar refused to check us in, claiming my daughter needed a visa. Even though we explained that we could get the visa upon arrival in Iraq, they refused to listen or even process anything on the passport. This made the entire situation confusing and stressful, and we ultimately lost our tickets because of their incompetence. This was a humiliating and frustrating experience. The staff acted in a way that felt discriminatory, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. I will never use this company again and do not recommend them to anyone traveling internationally.

This review will be based on just my ground experience at Boston airport with Qatar Airways. This review does not depict Qatar Airways' overall, and just their Boston base. I have flown Qatar Airways in/out of many USA airports, such as Houston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and New York JFK, and unfortunately my flight out of Boston to Doha on July 3, 2025 has been my worst experience to date with a Qatar Airways airport operation. I was arriving into Boston on an American Airlines flight which was delayed by 2.5 hours. It was codeshared with the Qatar flight to Doha that evening. My AA flight landed approximately 10 minutes before boarding ended for the Qatar airways flight. Me and the roughly 15 other people connecting with me from/to the same flight all ran to the gate. It is extremely inconvenient how the AA terminal (B) is close to a 25 minute walk to the Qatar gates (E). I am an able body and fit person, and it still took me 10 minutes to run to the Qatar gate. By the time me and the rest of my group arrived, the gate agent posted up at the Qatar gate told us the flight was closed. The monitors throughout Logan airport still marked the flight as "On Time" and there was no communication on the Qatar airways app regarding gate information or when boarding started/ended. The Qatar gate agent proceeded to blame American Airlines and how the gate agent posted up at the arrival gate should've told us not to run and what not. Additionally, she told us we need to go to the AA service desk to get rebooked and to access hotel vouchers to spend the night. We then walked 20 minutes back to terminal B where we were told by AA that Qatar "Lied to our face" about the hotel vouchers and that AA wont be issuing any. My issue is, why would Qatar Airways not hold the flight just 15 minutes when there are close to 15 people running to catch the plane? Why lie about hotel vouchers? Why was there absolutely 0 communication by the ground staff on if our connection was possible? There should have either been proper communication or a reasonable way for everyone to connect onto the flight. The entire experience was very physically and emotionally draining, and Qatar airways could have prevented everything. No surprise why the AA customer service representatives I spoke to following this incident had an extreme grudge and anger at Qatar as well. Do better "Skytrax 5 Star" airline.

Terrible customer service! These response services/call centers in India is medieval to say it mildly. It took me hours on the phone, several emails with application forms, passport copies, driver's license copies - the whole nine yards. It's like bureaucracy you have never seen. This is only to update my mobile number on my profile! And this Airline is being crowned as the "Best Airline" several years in a row! Is this through bribing? Or by fancy airport decorations and some good in-flight foods cooked by cheap labors? I wonder! Way to go Qatar Airway!

Worst Airline Experience - Avoid at All Costs I had a nightmare experience with Qatar Airways involving their mishandling of my pet’s travel. Despite confirming that no additional documents were needed, they repeatedly asked for a non-existent certification, causing us to miss our flight. Their staff was unprofessional, and one even said, “I don’t care” when we raised concerns. This airline caused immense stress, financial loss, and ruined plans. If you value professionalism and reliability, avoid Qatar Airways.

Qatar Q Suite is so worth it. Flying 14 hours from Qatar to Boston enjoying every minutes. Service is top notch, food and drinks are all good! Every meals are served nicely with table cloth, full on plates and silverware and candle light!Pajamas and slippers provided along with beautiful amenities bag from Diptyque (lip balm, face cream, lotion, and small fragrance spray). We sat in 8G and 8D. Less than 2 hours into the flight, we were offered to change our seat to bed with mattress. The blanket is so soft, velvety and good weight to it. Very comfortable.
