I went horseback riding for the very first time and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Mo was absolutely wonderful—he was patient, gave clear instructions that made me feel comfortable, and added humor along the way that kept us laughing. He made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely return and highly recommend this place to anyone considering horseback riding!

Found this spot as a birthday gift for my wife- Mo was incredible! A great teacher- the horses were so well trained and responded to everything so well. I had never ridden before but Mo’s instructions were so easy to follow, I felt super comfortable. He filmed for us, told us stories, provided detailed information on how to ride more efficiently. My wife had a blast, best birthday ever. We’ll be back!

This is the best horseback riding experience I’ve had anywhere, and I’ve done trail rides across the U.S. I took my niece about a year or so ago and she had a great time, it was her first ride. But I’m a more experienced rider and he gave me a really fun horse. Will definitely be back.

I was looking for horseback riding near Birmingham and came across Mo’s Carriages and Trail Rides. I called to get more info and reserved a day to go riding with a group of friends for my birthday. The owner requests that you call the day of hours before your reservation to confirm your ride, which I did. I had a group of seven including myself. The GPS took us all to a cabin building on a ranch in Clanton. Someone gave us directions to drive further down a dirt road to the actual trails. We met Moses (“Mo”) who was finishing up a ride from another group. He assigned us to our horses and helped each of us saddle up. He even had boots for those who needed proper shoes. My friends and I had a GREAT time! Moses was friendly, had a great personality, and captured lots of video footage and photos for us. He coached us as we were riding the horses and told us stories. He led the group in a “Happy Birthday” song for me and was a wonderful host. He guided us on how to handle the reigns when going up the hill and down the hill and leading the horses. We galloped and rode probably four miles on the trail. The horses were very well trained and are used to people. They fell in line and knew their places in the pack. It was a wonderful and memorable experience. My friends and I would love to do it again. I highly recommend Mo’s. The only thing is we needed a quick horse lesson before the trail ride because we were all beginners and relatively new to handling horses. But five stars for the experience, the owner’s friendliness, and how he showed us a great time. I had a great birthday. Thank you so much!
