This place was horrible. I was truly scared. I grew up in a city and I am rarely scared in a place but this was different. My room was on a ground floor along a fenced in parking lot with a peephole in the door. I stuffed toilet paper in the peep hole. I had planned to go out to find some dinner but didn’t feel safe to do so. The room was filthy too. The curtains didn’t close so anyone walking by would have been able to see in but I used my hair clip to hold them closed. The clerk in the lobby where you check in is behind bulletin proof glass. The two men behind me in line said their keys weren’t working. This is NOT a good place. Look at the photos I took of my room. Nobody should stay here. The only reason I did was because I needed a place near an event in Weehawken and I didn’t want to pay $400-$600 for one night. But after staying one night here, I will happily pay more to stay anywhere else.

Stay anywhere but here. That’s not me saying that, it’s the two police officers nearby who were shocked when we told them we were staying at the Howard Johnson in Bergen. It might look like a good price but it’s not worth how sketchy the place is. The motel is right off a very busy road and has gang spray paint tags everywhere. Doors open right up to the street.

Vaibhav was exceptionally accommodating throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed to feel comfortable and welcome. From the moment we arrived, he was eager to assist, offering helpful recommendations for local attractions and dining options. His friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile truly enhanced our experience. We couldn't have asked for a better host, and it made our time there truly memorable. Overall, it was an amazing experience that we would highly recommend to others.

The location is inconvenient. Dirty room, old towels , not personal hygiene products, breakfast is just a breakfast bag I didn’t even open. The staff looks and is very weird. The room was infested with bugs. Not closet neither iron. The heating/air conditioner system very dirty and old you have to figure out how to used.

Let's start this review talking about the room. The room was scary, getting to room was scary! It was very dirty and had cockroaches! I saw a previous review say that and I don't know why I didn't believe the reviewer but whoever said that prior to my review was 100% correct! The manager can't say that i'm lying because I have a video of it! Couldn't even finish my stay after I saw the roach! The reception area is surrounded by bullet proof glass that should've been first indication that this is not a good hotel!!! This place should be demolished it's that bad! Don't go here! It's like a horror movie! I'm not kidding either!!
