It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. This review can be summarized in one word: Harry. A Pilot Who Exceeds All Expectations! When we arrived at Vinton County Airport, we were greeted by Harry. His warmth and energy were immediately captivating. It took literally two seconds to realize how truly amazing Harry is. I told Harry what I wanted: beautiful scenery, but most importantly, a flyover of my childhood home in Laurelville, Ohio, along Salt Creek. Harry captured everything I wanted and so much more. • Gregarious, Entertaining, and Informative: Harry is an absolute joy to fly with. He's funny and genuinely desired to help us explore every area we could see. • Safety and Skill: Harry, a 77-year-old pilot with over 50 years of flying experience, instantly put us at ease. He shared fascinating stories, including the four times his engine stalled—and how he safely landed every time. We felt 100% safe in his hands. • Personalized Tour: Once airborne, he immediately prioritized my request, circling my childhood stopping grounds. We soared over Old Man's Cave, where he banked the plane perfectly so we could capture breathtaking pictures of the waterfalls at Old Man's Cave. What started as a planned 20-minute flight quickly turned into a magical 60-minute tour—I wish it could have been four hours! More Than a Flight—A Connection! Getting to know Harry was a huge part of the experience. His personal history is amazing, from sharing the story of his son conquering cancer to detailing his own thousand-dollar fuel run to Texas. After the flight, Harry proudly showed us the flight tower and the passion behind his entire operation. This wasn't just a business transaction; it was a genuine, heartwarming connection. This memory will absolutely be among the great moments I tell my children about! A Crucial Community Resource: Vinton County Airport We cannot recommend Harry and Hocking Hills Scenic Air highly enough. But I would be remiss if I didn't also highlight the need to support the Vinton County Airport. This enterprise, coordinated and often funded by Harry, is a vital resource for the entire Hocking Hills area. With the immense growth and cabin development in Hocking County, the need for this airport is greater than ever. The airport is currently strapped for funds, which puts vital resources and even air shows Harry organizes at risk. I strongly encourage everyone to hire Harry—not only will you get the flight of a lifetime, but increased traffic helps support this invaluable airport. This is a must-do adventure for anyone visiting the area!

We had a GREAT time! Harry is a fun, entertaining, and friendly pilot! He has lots of knowledge and great stories to share! We were able to see lots of Hocking Hills! The price was amazing for the 30 minute flight! Truly an AWESOME experience and definitely worth it!!

Pilot Harry was incredible and made us feel safe the whole time! My wife was nervous as it was her first time flying. He was very knowledgeable and witty. He even taught me how to fly the plane! It may have been a tiny airport with a tiny plane but such a huge experience! Thanks again Pilot Harry!

We did a 20 minute air tour and it was great. Harry was our pilot and he was friendly and knowledgeable. It was my first time on a plane so I was a little nervous, but he made it really comfortable and the views were incredible, especially with the fall colors. Highly recommend Scenic Air Tours if you want to see the area from a new perspective.
