My husband and I recently returned from an incredible trip to Alaska that was designed by Elizabeth. She truly listened to our ideas and suggestions, which made every part of the journey enjoyable. All of the hotels were amazing, and I especially loved the cozy cabin feel she arranged for us, along with the stunning hotel at the end of the spit in Homer. The excursions she planned were unforgettable—flying over Denali with a glacier landing, dog sledding on the glacier, flying into the national park to see bears feeding on salmon, and floating among the icebergs were all once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Elizabeth’s recommendations for activities and restaurants were also outstanding, and every meal we had was wonderful. She was always accessible and checked in frequently to see if we needed anything. If you’re planning a trip to Alaska, I highly recommend working with Elizabeth. Alaska had always been on my bucket list, but my two weeks in Alaska were honestly one of the best trips of my life and much of that is thanks to Damian. From the very beginning, he listened to what I wanted, gave amazing advice, and built a trip that fit me perfectly. He was always available—quick to answer questions, super friendly, and just fun to work with. On my very first morning he showed up with bear spray in hand so I could safely head out hiking right away. During the trip, he kept in touch, sending me useful tips and even passing along dinner recommendations from other travelers. Elizabeth helped us plan a trip we will remember forever. We're a family of five with three teenagers, and we were a little late in planning, but Elizabeth was still able to get us into all the amazing excursions and experiences. Every part of the process was smooth, from the initial contact, through to our very last day. She presented one itinerary and we realized we wanted to see more, so we asked her to add two days and change the itinerary because we decided to fly into Fairbanks and out of Anchorage. She couldn't have planned a more perfect itinerary for our family. I found the restaurant suggestions and information about other things to do in each town to be super helpful. We used many of her suggestions and they were all fabulous. There's honestly not a single thing we'd change about our trip, we only wish we could have stayed longer and seen more! We had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth on our second to last day because in reply to one of her daily text message check-ins with me, I mentioned we were at the Girdwood Brewery and she was in town and asked if she could stop by to say hi. We just spent two weeks in Alaska. Each day was planned out in detail with restaurant and local area activities recommendations. Our days were spent with activities such as zip lining, sea kayaking, ATV glacier tour, nature hikes, Halibut fishing and tours of Denali park. Every scheduled activity went flawlessly and we had a great experience at each event. Each day Elizabeth reached out to make sure we arrived at our next destination and had the information needed for the that days activity. This made our dream vacation completely stress free. Working with Elizabeth started nearly a year prior to our trip, she ensured all of our wants and needs were considered in our itinerary. 5 BIG, BRIGHT, SHINING STARS for Elizabeth of Handpicked Alaska! My husband and I just returned from our incredibly wonderful Alaskan adventure. Elizabeth helped us choose an itinerary that suited our preferences of being active in the gorgeous Alaskan outdoors. Every detail of our travels was taken care of from the charming Airbnb’s we stayed in, to our beautiful train rides on the Alaskan railroad, to our exciting once in a lifetime excursions. We will never forget our flight seeing/glacier landing at the base of the Denali mountain climbing assent, or the helicopter ride/ tundra hike just outside of Denali National Park. The quirky town of Talkeetna with Denali mountain in its background, our electric bike ride, finishing with Shirley’s homemade ice-cream ( beyond delicious) will remain in our hearts forever. We ended our Alaskan adventure with a stay at Denali Bluffs, right outside of Denali National Park. We enjoyed our morning coffee with amazing Mountain views. The Denali Wilderness Bus Tour we did was a great way to travel within Denali National Park. Elizabeth kept in touch with us from the beginning of our tour until we finished in Anchorage, always asking if our accommodations were fine, and if we had enjoyed our excursions. Everything about this trip was exemplary due to Elizabeth’s professionalism and kindness.
