They overbooked my flight and for some reason selected me as someone that’s not going to fly that day. I paid for my ticket. I even had a seat selected on my ticket. And then they pull me aside and tell me I’m not getting on the plane. The next flight available they could put me on was 40 hours later which didn’t work for my trip. How was this even possible? I’ve submitted a complaint with the DOT. They offered me $250 flight voucher. Why would I use a flight voucher for an airline that’s not even gonna let me on the plane? Originally they said it would be a $300 voucher but since I didn’t volunteer, they downgraded it to $250. Disgusting.

This will be my first bad google review. I have left 21 google reviews over the past 12 years – all 5 star – for places of business that I felt did a great job. I have had some bad experiences with other businesses, but I have not left reviews. Today, I leave my first bad google review for Frontier Airlines due to the worst customer service I have ever experienced in the baggage department. My son serves in the Navy. He reports back on duty at his base in Washington on Wednesday. His Frontier flight to Los Vegas was delayed by 5 hours causing him to miss his connection. The earliest flight he could get out was this evening after 9 am and wouldn’t get him to his final destination, Portland until tomorrow afternoon. He ended up needing to buy a ticket on another airline so he could make it back today. No refund from Frontier, no voucher for a later flight. That is not why I am leaving this bad review however. My son checked a bag on Frontier this morning and attempted to retrieve it for his new flight on a different airline. He was told that his luggage would be taken off the plane in Tampa but it needed to be retrieved because they don’t store luggage. He called me to go back to the airport to get his bag. I received the rudest, worst service I have ever experienced from Chassity. So bad, that her supervisor ended up helping me while Chassity waited outside the room. The cycle was straightforward, my son’s luggage was not in their office so most likely had not been taken off the plane and was now in Los Vegas. I asked the supervisor for an email so I could submit a complaint about the service from Chassity. As a customer service professional it is her responsibility to care for Frontiers clients and she should kindly and empathetically help customers (and their mothers) navigate trying experiences like the one that I was having. The supervisor did not have an email but gave me a Frontier phone number that I called twice today—both times I got the message that there was over a 120 minute wait time to talk to someone. For this reason, rather than submitting a complaint directly to Frontier, I am leaving this review. I am not the only customer that has had a negative experience with the Frontier baggage office. One of the staff in an office adjacent to the Frontier baggage office told me that there are issues at the baggage office daily. Based on this, I would be hard pressed to ever book a flight on Frontier and my son told me he will never fly Frontier again.

9/15/25 flight 3323 ISP to TPA. The plane reeked of urine from the rear bathrooms. You could smell it immediately upon boarding and only got worse in flight. It was nauseating. Why was the plane still in service? The flight attendants in the rear galley were so loud during the flight that the entire rear of the plane knew about their crappy schedules, annoying co-workers and personal lives. You could hear them clearly even with headphones on. An 8oz coffee is $4. I filed a complaint and they blew me off with a lame acknowledgement. I sincerely mean this, I will never fly them again, not even free.

This is an airline that presents low fares, but fees including seating, bags, and drinks sum up to the cost of a regular airline. However, if your bag is light enough, you can get it on the plane for free. I flew Frontier from this airport to Baltimore, and it was a fine experience for a 5 AM Flight. There’s not much entertainment on board, and the legroom and comfort of seats are low quality. However, there was assigned seating, lowering the odds of your party getting separated. Overall, you can have a good experience if you strategize around the paywalls.

I felt like a frequent flyer this last summer as I flew back and forth to Cleveland 5 times. This airline is remarkably on time and if you book a week in advance you can usually get a seat you want. I love the 8 seats in the front of the plane as there is no one sitting in the middle. Well worth the extra money. See bag stuffing contest. Frontier is pretty strict about carry on luggage.

When visiting another place, the least you would like to expect is a friendly and helpful personnel specially because it might be someone’s first time flying or most of the times it is tourist people who need the most help from the airline staff that they choose to fly with. I have never ever flown with Frontier Airlines and I’m sure it’ll be the last one, I didn’t notice that my flight was for Saturday but once I arrived there was a sweet and nice lady who helped me out but when I was dropping off my luggage there was an elder woman who did not speak English and she was just asking for a wheelchair but she just did not even try to help her at all. So when it was my turn she was just as rude as someone can be
