The best lounge I have been to in quite a long time. Everything is free once you get in and tipping is optional. Free shower, free make-to-ordered food, free portable power bank usage… Service was exceptional with wait-staff even asking if they could go get me anything and bringing me a nice cold glass of water without being asked. It’s quiet and clean. Plenty of working seats as well as comfortable seats overlooking the runway. Deserving of 5 stars for a Priority Pass lounge.

Etihad lounge is probably one of the best lounges in IAD. They have a variety of options for the food - both for make to order and buffet style. The drink selections are outstanding and their signature cocktails never disappoint. Elegant and modern interior design is also a plus.

𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 ✨ Having visited countless lounges worldwide — including Capital One Lounge, Lufthansa, and Turkish Airlines here in the Washington area — I can confidently say the Etihad Airways Lounge at IAD (Terminal A) is one of those rare spaces that truly sets the standard for premium travel. Brand note: Operated by Etihad Airways, this lounge also welcomes Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers through Priority Pass — a beautiful Etihad × Sapphire collaboration that elevates both brands. From the outside, it’s almost invisible. Step inside and you’re greeted with a warm, professional welcome — the kind that makes you feel genuinely valued. The Space: • Right side: Chic bar and comfortable seating along the windows, perfect for plane-spotting. • Left side: Well-presented buffet with hot dishes, desserts, coffee, soft drinks, and unique finds. One standout: Tropical Mango Malaysia Hydration Drink — refreshing, non-carbonated, electrolyte-rich. Food & Drinks - The buffet was consistently delicious, but the bar stole the show. Premium bottles like Elijah Craig sat alongside a superb Virginia bourbon I’d never tried before. And the Sapphire Signature Cocktail — gin or vodka — was elegant, distinct, and memorable. Upstairs - Panoramic airfield views, light desserts, a proper espresso setup, and even a thoughtfully designed kids’ room — a rare touch in high-end lounges. Service - This is where the lounge truly shines. Staff were impeccably dressed, attentive, and kind. While I was enjoying my meal, one stopped by just to check in — a detail that lifted the experience from great to remarkable. Final Thoughts - This lounge doesn’t just meet expectations — it exceeds them. It outshines some of the biggest names and sets the bar for what premium airport lounges should aspire to be. Experiences like this are why I’m starting The Global Airport Lounge Collection — a series of reviews from around the world. ✈️🍸

Really liked this lounge! Roomy without being overwhelming, clean, nice decor…good options were either made to order or buffet. They had nice cocktail options and top shelf booze too. Customer service was VERY good! Worth going out of your way to hit this one when traveling through/from Dulles…I sure will!!

I had an exceptional experience at the Chase Sapphire Lounge at Dulles (IAD). From the moment I checked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. The lounge itself is beautifully designed—modern, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of seating options whether you want to relax, work, or dine. The food selection was truly impressive for an airport lounge. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The bar was equally outstanding, offering a great mix of cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic options prepared by knowledgeable bartenders. What really stood out was the overall atmosphere. Even during busier times, the lounge felt calm and well-managed. The restrooms were spotless, Wi-Fi was fast, and all of the small details—charging ports, lighting, service—were thoughtfully taken care of. This is easily one of the best lounges I’ve visited in any airport. Chase has done a fantastic job, and I’ll absolutely be coming back every time I fly through IAD. Highly recommended!

This place deserves way more than 5 stars. I still can't get over the incredible treatment I received at Etihad. I was genuinely blown away. A huge shout-out to Chris for making the whole experience unforgettable.

We gained access through the Chase Sapphire Reserve Priority Pass. It’s conveniently located near the escalator from the train to terminal A. Check in was easy. It’s not a big lounge but the ambiance made up for it. There were two sections: one for ready made food and an area by the bar where you can order food. Unfortunately, the food we ordered, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, came out cold. They probably pre cooked the food. After our server found out, we were immediately asked if there was anything else we wanted. A supervisor came out apologizing for the food and again asked us if there was anything more they can do. That is good customer service. There was a decent selection of pre made food. We added Bailey’s from the bar to our cappuccino - it was perfect. Despite the cold made to order food, I still rated this lounge a 5 star.
