One of the best airports in the region. It's huge but don't worry there are plenty of signs and information points all around the places including airport guides who are very helpful at anytime. It's a major connecting hub for short and long journeys.

Ireland’s busiest airport handled our arrival and departure with impressive ease. Customs was quicker than expected, and the staff directing passengers were not only helpful but genuinely funny—especially with Irish kids returning from holiday and bracing for the first day of school. It added a lovely human touch to the journey. Baggage claim, restrooms, and our pre-arranged transport to the hotel were all easy to find and well-marked. No stress, just smooth transitions. Flying out was just as efficient. There’s a solid variety of shops and eateries before security, but options thin out afterward—so eat before you go through. The U.S. Preclearance was a standout feature, letting us clear immigration, customs, and agriculture checks before boarding. It made arrival in the States seamless and stress-free. Overall, Dublin Airport delivered a friendly, efficient experience with a dash of Irish charm.

Dublin Airport It is a busy airport and the staff are friendly and helpful. For public transport, we used both Dublin Express and Aircoach to travel to and from the airport. The choice depends on your destination or the nearest bus stop. We also tried a taxi using FreeNow, which was convenient. Inside the airport, there are many shops including duty-free, gift shops, and convenience stores for last-minute shopping. You can also find restaurants, cafes, and small food stalls depending on what you prefer to eat. There are a few lounges available, but access depends on your departure time and their opening hours. The lounges are located more toward the central area of the airport, and the staff were helpful when I asked for directions. Overall, I had a good experience at the airport.

Quick security check, friendly staff, although the airport is quite small. I boarded from gate 305, and it was a bit crowded there, though this might not be the case at all gates. There are plenty of duty-free shops, dining options, and several water refill stations. Overall I like Dublin 🇮🇪

We had the unfortunate experience of being at the Dublin Airport Terminal 2 on September 20, 2025. If you are unaware, that is the day that they evacuated the terminal because of a bomb scare. The actual evacuation was handled fairly well. I didn't understand why they didn't get all the people away from the terminal if they were afraid of a bomb. There was no communication between authorities and the passengers. Then, after it was over and they left people indoors, there was total chaos. The workers need more training in what to do in this situation. Our plane was a puddle jumper to Heathrow. We waited in line forever and got to the front of the line, but they wouldn't check our luggage because it wasn't a transatlantic flight. Our flight was scheduled to leave in 30 more minutes and they still didn't check our luggage. What??k We waited in line 2 more times and they still wouldn't take our bag. Finally, they did with about 15 minutes to go. We went through security and had to fly to catch our plane. My husband and I are in our mid seventies, so needless to say, there is not much flying by us. Of course, it was at the farthest gate.
