Four of us just returned from the Irish Rose tour that departed on April 30th. Ireland is amazing and so was our driver guide. However, I found the tour operator lacking in their communication and also in the arranged tour. In February we were notified that the castle stay was not possible and they made alternate accommodations at a Manor House with a spa which was comparable. This was not the case. The communication and documents were also lacking in information. My friends and I were four single women traveling together but the documentation we received was one folder for us to share for each of our rooms. I am not sure why they could not create two folders for each person in the room but they did give us the correct number of their bags. Our communication also stated that in Ireland it is not customary to tip but on several occasions we were asked for a tip. These seem like minor complaints but it did change a lot of dynamics on the tour. Many of the hotels they chose were older and our rooms seem to be in the worst or outdated area of the hotel and in some cases the carpet was coming up or totally worn out. Overall, we saw Ireland and it was an enjoyable experience but I would not recommend this tour company and I will not be traveling with them again.
