I called LeeAnn Dayton at Capital Area Travel Leaders and said we wanted to go on vacation in one week. We wanted sun and sand and I told her what our budget was. She got us an amazing deal at the Barcelo Maya Riviera adults only all inclusive resort in Cancun Mexico. It was exactly the rest and relaxation we needed. She answered all of our questions quickly and accurately, including when I sent her a quick message on day one of the trip. She is very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to work with. Went to punta cana through delta package. My emails were not returned when asking questions. When a person was reached, I would be told they will get me the information I was looking for. But never received it. My husband set up the trip with friends and was not told of the harassment one would receive on the resort property to buy trinkets. There was a lot of confusion where to find our transportation once we landed in the DR. Had I not researched a little on you tube, I would not have known to get e-tickets to enter/exit the DR. Which takes a few days to get approved. The travel agent told us a week prior to leave date.

I reached out to Capital Area Travel for my first travel agency experience. Rachel has helped me all year to set up the perfect vacation for myself and my young adult children. Let me tell you, this team of agents is patient, kind, courteous, dependable, and trustworthy. I would definitely recommend them and hopefully be using them again in the future.

Alyssa Hoppes charged me for two people even though the tour operator had a single supplement for much less. She said "Lol well the list prices are typically never correct and are misleading." I figure she burned me for about $4,000.00 and the owner was okay with that. Two of the other employees in the grand Ledge office agree that the price is never firm. If you have an extra $4k to spare please send it to me to make me whole again but I will never book with this agency ever! So dishonest Update 2024... I asked them after taking advantage of my wallet, to lose my information as I will never travel with them again and certainly never pass their name onto someone innocent that is trying to manage money wisely yet they continue to harrass me with flyers and catalogs like I might forget about that extra cash they managed to shower themselves with. I emailed Russ and warned him that I would update my post if they didn't stop battering me and yet here I am. If you want to overpay and be harrassed to do it again, disregard "by the way- my post is about the single supplement being overlooked, not price going up due to add-ons! cut out the middleman!!

CATL knows the importance of customer service. LeeAnn came highly recommended and was top notch. She found us a beautiful all-inclusive resort that fit all our needs, for us parents and our HS seniors. LeeAnn went the extra mile and booked us a flawless trip. Hotel Xcaret Arte was an exceptional place with many unforgettable memories. Consider me a lifetime client.
