This review of British Airways is based on my experience with the only two flights I have made with this airline. Yesterday, I flew from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris to Heathrow Airport in London and thence from Heathrow to BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport in Baltimore. The pictures included in this review were taken either out the window of the first aircraft, where I had a window seat, or in the terminal while waiting to board. I should also point out that the fare was quite reasonable. The flight from Paris to London was quite short. It's less than 300 miles by air from Paris to London. We flew in an Airbus 319, a nice but undistinguished passenger jet. We were in coach. The seats were reasonably comfortable, and the crew were polite and friendly. The trans oceanic flight from London to Baltimore was outstanding. The aircraft was a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. British Airways has this cabin set up with first class seats that can convert to fully horizontal beds. Business class seats are wide with plenty of leg room. But the piece de resistance is coach. Susan and I were way in the back in coach, and I felt like I was in business class. Ten years ago, I was so fat that I had to buy two seats in order to get comfortable when I flew coach. I am not quite that fat anymore, but I am still 4/5ths of my maximum weight, and I found my coach seat so roomy that I could have sat in it even when I was at my max weight. There is one problem with the seats on that aircraft. For passengers who are so wide that they need to use two seats, this aircraft, at least in coach, wouldn't have worked because when you raise the arm rest, it doesn't go all the way up to be parallel with the seat back. Instead, it sticks out a bit so a massively obese person using two seats would not be able to sit up straight in the double seat. Other than that theoretical issue, the Dreamliner was amazingly comfortable. The seat offers games, movies and TV shows at no extra charge. There is a USB port available to charge your phone, and the seats recline enough to be quite comfortable for a long flight. The crew were friendly and helpful, and the food service, also included in the reasonable fare, was delicious and generous. The feature that I appreciated the most about the Dreamliner was one that was not obvious. I don't have quite as many lungs as I used to have, and I tend to become hypoxic on flights. I mentioned this issue to my flight attendant, and he offered to bring me some supplemental oxygen if I felt ill. But the Dreamliner is pressurized to 6,000 feet rather than the 8,000 feet pressurization of all the other commercial passenger aircraft. I felt fine, and my blood oxygen level, according to the oxygen app on my phone, didn't get as low as it usually gets when I fly.

On time with my flight to Baltimore, easy to follow steps and friendly staff. Didnt feel lost, scared, or confused my first flight. Easy to leave on returning too.

NEVER fly British airways out of BWI. They only let you check your bags 2 hours before your departure time. Before customs, visas, and TSA. absurd. They don’t pull this nonsense at IAD or DCA.

British airways is always great. They won't leave you stranded like WOWAIR will. Unfortunately for me I can't always to fly the best. So I have to use the apps to find flights. What bugs me is some times it will be the exact flight for half the price. Anyway I love flying with British airways the best.
