I’ve flown with British Airways several times between LAX and London Heathrow (LHR), experiencing multiple cabin classes, and each offers a noticeably different experience. Starting with World Traveller (economy class), it’s a no-frills, straightforward option. The service from the crew is consistently friendly, and meals are included, which is appreciated. However, the seats are quite cramped and not particularly comfortable, especially on a long-haul flight. It’s clear that this is the budget option—you feel the savings in the reduced comfort and amenities. If you’re able to spend a bit more, I highly recommend upgrading to World Traveller Plus (premium economy). It offers more legroom, better seat comfort, and a generally more pleasant travel experience without the high price tag of business class. In March, I had the opportunity to fly in Club World (business class), and the upgrade was well worth it. The lounge access and priority boarding are great perks that make the pre-flight experience much smoother. Onboard, the lie-flat pods are a game changer, especially for long-haul overnight flights. Having meal choices adds a personal touch, and as always, the British Airways cabin crew are attentive and professional. One downside I’ve noticed across all cabins is the cabin temperature. The heat tends to be turned up too high, which can make sleeping uncomfortable. It’s puzzling—blankets are provided, yet the cabin feels overly warm. It would make more sense to keep the temperature moderate, allowing passengers to layer up if needed rather than feeling overheated. Overall, British Airways delivers a reliable service with excellent staff. Just be mindful of the cabin class you choose—it can significantly affect your comfort level, especially on longer flights

My family and I had a nice experience during our flights from LAX to LHR and back. The aircraft was clean and safe. The hosts on board were incredibly kind, attentive, and hospitable, making the entire flying experience even more enjoyable. Thanks for everyone.

British Airways Customer Service: A Masterclass in Passing the Buck and Endless Frustration: My recent experience with British Airways' customer service has been nothing short of infuriating, particularly when booking through a travel agency. Their immediate and rude response is to tell you to call the travel agency for any changes, even when that agency explicitly states they can't access or modify the ticket. It's a relentless cycle of being bounced between parties, with neither taking responsibility. What's truly baffling is that I paid an additional $600 for a flexible, changeable ticket, and British Airways directly charged my card – not the travel agency platform. To add insult to injury, I purchased seat upgrades separately on the British Airways website, and they still refused to help with that refund either. It's clear they are quick to turn you away, unwilling to do their due diligence to understand the situation or even listen to feedback that could improve their dismal service. As for the actual ticket rebooking, the travel agency and I spent over six agonizing hours trying to speak to their "Tradeline" department. Calls repeatedly disconnected if the agent was on hold too long, forcing the travel agency to restart the entire process with a new agent each time. I was stuck on another line, waiting for information relayed by the travel agent, as I'm not permitted to speak to their Tradeline department directly. This torturous process finally led to them issuing a voucher (credit). British Airways informed the travel agency that they would email me the voucher, but told me to wait 24 hours. I'm highly uneasy about this resolution. Normally, when other airlines issue a voucher, the confirmation is immediate and it can be used right away. After multiple calls and speaking with various unhelpful representatives, I finally gave up. I've now resorted to filing a dispute with my credit card company, which speaks volumes about the complete breakdown in their customer support. If you value your time and sanity, avoid booking with British Airways, especially through a third party. Their customer service is a black hole of accountability.

The Good: Some routes have club suites with a suite door. Good frequency of flights. The Bad: 1. Cramped space in business compared to the likes of qatar even in club suites 2. U can get stuck with a lot of old planes flying 2-3-2 layout for business with 0 privacy everyone will see u chew n stretch type cramped aisle seats. 3. Mediocre lounges. BA lounge in Boston had no food or staff to talk to at 9 PM. LAX lounge is slightly better and heathrow is crowded. 4. No dine-on-demand. This is a perk expect in business class but wasn’t available in London -Bangalore 5. Staff attitude resembles that of low cost airline. 6. Upkeep of planes. Faded and stained seats, TV touchscreen was unresponsive and movie kept getting stuck and the staff simply shrug and move on. Net. Fly british airways if u have to. Avoid if u can.

Seat in business class reeked of urine! Was offered a seat near a baby for 11 hours, the lady next to me was offered a window seat elsewhere. She declined to sit by her son, I asked if I could have the window seat and was told no it’s filled. At new seat by crying baby, was not served a beverage with my meal. When I asked about beverages at the 6 hour mark, I was served cold coffee:(

I paid business class fair for 3 tickets from LAX to DEL. On return flight from DEL, we were told to accept premium economy because they had oversold. When we refused, they pretended as if they were trying to find alternative flights for us. Obviously, they couldn’t find any. We found Air India flight on our own. Only when I was about to pay for this alternate flight and BA reps were watching me, they agreed to book it for us. Then, they told us to go quietly because others in same situation may ask for alternative flights as well. What a crooked way of doing business!
