As someone who flies 30+ times a year, I’ve noticed that American is almost always delayed (especially through DFW) and has the most baggage/maintenance issues of any airline. They’re giving Frontier a run for their money as the worst airline at this point.

My daughter got on a plane and taxi'd to runway when they turned around and made them get off. They cancelled the flight and she's been stuck at the airport for 12 hours. This girl has a lot of anxiety and was trying to get to Idaho to see her Nana before she passes. No one had any sympathy for her. They refused to find her a flight on another airline and did not compensate her for losing an ENTIRE day with her Nana. I will never fly American again.

So my 6am flight gets cancelled, I'd never experienced this before and was already at the gate by 430a, I expected the airline to have a person come to the gate to handle/give guidance on options...after wandering around frantically looking for someone to talk to a very helpful TSA agent directed us back to the ticket counter, which meant we had to go back thru security...once we got to the check-in counter, again I expected to see a designated line to handle the cancelled flight passengers - but no, we had to stand in line inter mingled with the folks that are checking in, so after a 45min to an hour conga line, the nice man helped me figure it out, but then we had to go back thru security of course and then to the gate to wait for my flight. Delays happen I get that, but why the heck did we have to wander up and down the terminal looking for help? Why wasn't someone made available on the terminal side to assist?

On the 26th when we got there they were overbooked. We stayed on the balcony talking to someone trying to get us different flights and even the flights they were trying to put us on were delayed and we would've gotten to our destination a whole day later. My daughter and I both have Brazilian citizenship. My daughter is 17 so she is still a minor and on AA's site, it said very clearly that minors did not need to provide a covid test. They then held us there for at least another hour. Then they offered to only give me a flight and not my daughter. Once I said I would not be doing that one of the men behind the counter guaranteed me that the miles I used to purchase this trip would be returned to me. Then I received an email saying I had to call AA. Ever since then I have been redirected countless times and I have still not received my refund and I am very upset. We want new trip to Brazil or our miles back to Smile. Thank you Ana P

TRASH! This airline used to be good, now it sucks! Had extra legroom, moved me to cramped back of plane. Admirals Club has gone downhill! Food is barely above bar food. Delta is so much better! Virgin better. This airline has gone down
