I recently went to use my miles to pay for some seats and bags on my up coming flight. When I went on line they told me all $51,000 miles had been deactivated because the flight I had booked was 12days past two years since I last flew. I have been a loyalty member for well over ten years and have earned and used miles. It just happens that I went two year without using them and they steal back the miles I earned. When they refused to give my miles back they added insult to injury by offering me a challenge. Earn 2,000 miles in 3 months and get the miles back. I have return flights for my whole family booked for thanks giving but it’s not enough. I am now just going to cancel them and fly Delta where they don’t steal your miles. Appalling behavior. I will be canceling by loyalty program and never fly AA ever again.

In the past American has been great. Never many delays, ok customer service, and the flights are fine. Recently though, it’s anything but those things. Out of the previous 5 flights I have taken this year, 4 of them have been delayed by longer than 3 hours or cancelled altogether. The customer service at the helpdesk hates their job 90% of the time and get snappy with you for asking a single question. On the flight I was taking last week, they said there was a part missing on a plane that had just flown in hours before with the part still attached. The employees are lazy, don’t plan ahead, and start waking up the second the flight is boarding. Absolutely horrendous service for a company that was once pretty good at what they do.

There was only 4 agents working midday on a Thursday. 1 handling the kiosk, 1 handling bag drop from the kiosk and 2 at priority & customer service. The lady working bag drop was picking how much effort she wanted to give. The was lady with an issue, who she escorted over to customer service while we waited. Then a large family of 8 people had an issue. She took her time to assist. Our party of 3 was not so good when we asked about why one person didn't show TSA pre-check. Her reply was vey short " just go back to the kiosk or go to customer service line as there's nothing she could do". Again, from where I was standing in line the level of customer service went from 100% to 10%. The customer experience was definitely not friendly. However, Ms. Karen at the priority/customer service line was very friendly and helpful after looking at my sister's docs, passport and global entry card, it was a different middle name on there system? She fixed it and we were on our way. Thanks again , Ms Karen!

American Airlines tried to claim there weren't any overhead bins on my flight. Yet, low and behold, there were multiple open spaces! Not sure why I was forced to check my bag at the gate if there were multiple open spaces. Straight worst flight boarding ever. Even Frontier doesn't blatantly lie about overhead space. AMERICAN AIRLINES SUCKS AND LIES FOR NO REASON

The flight attendant's brushed me off and were very disrespectful. Why do I need to pay for wifi? You're telling me McDonald's has better service than you? In other words if the ticket is paid for you shouldn't need to pay for wifi*

American Airlines is the worst Airline I've ever flown on in my entire life not only do they have the most disrespectful staff working for them they are incompetent at their jobs both the flight to our destination and from our destination were horrible and a damn near nightmare. Customer service is non-existent he's gotten these generic emails as replies back to our emails for all the issues we had with American Airlines just a downright horrible experience we will never fly with this company ever again
