Very unprofessional staff. Showed up on time for flight but the kiosks were not working with one person at the ticket counter. Waiting roughly 4 minutes in line, a second employee showed up to check me in. She then said it was a minute too late to check in the bag. Then I went to the gate to check in my bag at the gate and they said it was too big when they still were checking in other bags and strollers in much larger luggage than I have. The very unhelpful guy went to see if I arrived before 2 pm she then when he stated a showed up before 2 pm, he claimed they stopped putting bags on the plane at 1:51pm (I arrived at 1:53 pm and was told at 1:57 pm that I was a minute late 🤔). Told me I should have used the kiosk and I told him they were broken and continued to be unprofessional. I can not wait to never fly American Airlines again.

Do NOT travel with American Airlines. Horrible staffing, can’t get straight answers always deflecting , even the high up offices can’t connect to personnel at a specific airport…..I could go on and on!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND

How do we report mistreatment from your employees Roxy from Eastern Iowa Airport gate 1 at 6:30am. My legally blind husband walked up to take advantage of the offer to check our carry on for free. When he accidentally pulled out the wrong boarding pass (it was the connecting pass). Roxy began screaming at him so loudly, I turned to see what was going on, I was 5 rows over! She kept screaming that he had the wrong pass, she degraded and belittled a grown, disabled man! We want to report her. I have photos!! Had I known she was screaming at my husband I would've recorded it! I approached her to explain why I was taking pictures and she began yelling,"ma'am, maam" cutting me off! I walked away. I heard her say, " we will talk about this later" in a threatening tone. UPDATE: Upon scanning our passes to board the flight, Roxy blocked our entry to the jetway demanding to share her side of the story! There were 2 men employees standing by witnessing this embarrassing debacle! She never once apologized for screaming at my husband in a rude and belittling tone and now she was embarrassing both of us and not allowing us to enter thus holding up the entire groups 8 & 9.

Please no body book ticket with this my company the stupid pilot he want fill up fuel at last minute and make the trip delaye for hour then I could not catch my second flight because unprofessional people I spent in next airport more than 5 hour they didn’t find any trip in Same day Please don’t buy tickets again

Poor service. I missed my important med school interview due to the connecting flight being delayed at night. Poor customer service too. Put me on hold for three straight hours. Never ever traveling with them again. I wish i could give zero stars to them.
