Only 4 stars because they need to put parking lots somewhere close to the departing flights so people can walk with their family to see them off before they go through TSA like the old days when you could wait until boarding to give them hugs and tell them you love them when they finally board. I always tell my son I love him and hug him before he gets on flights to Arizona which he travels to at least once a year or two. But, by mistake I went to departures where you can only drop off and run away like the plague. You need to follow arrivals to park, because the signs are very confusing there. And the road names are even more confusing. So if you plan to walk your loved ones to the gate, go to arrivals so you can park. It's easier that way then following the parking signs. And it's pretty cheap I think like 6 bucks. That's not too much money for me to be able to tell my son I love him and can hug him before I possibly don't get a chance to again.

Went to turn my bags in and an older white haired Asian lady at the counter had a serious attitude. It was too early in the morning to be gettin sassy to customers. I’m Asian at that so I’m not being racist. I always travel out of Philly and normally don’t have any problems and customer service is above and beyond. But today my vacation travel started off on the wrong foot. But I’m not going to let her ruin my family vacation. But I am posting this so hopefully someone in AA will see this and check her attitude. That’s all I’m saying about this.

Good news never travels well, so I wanted to take the time to say how great all the folks at the American counter were today. Thanks so much for your friendliness, and smiles!!

I am pretty sure the CEO is doing quite well because the doors are falling off the garbage bins in the bathrooms. If a multi-billion dollar company can’t tell a customer why a plane without mechanical issues or bad weather is three hours late to leave, then find a new business to be in. Very disappointed and this is the third time in four months that American Airlines has dropped the ball.

American Airlines has become an extremely poor airline option. Our London to Philly flight was delayed over 5 hours “because a baggage loader hit the aircraft” causing the passengers to deload and reboard another aircraft later. That’s pure negligence. We then missed our connection to Myrtle Beach, and were rebooked on a flight the next morning with another layover. The “hotel option” they offered was 50+ minutes away, and they refused to reimburse us for a closer one. We were left to get 3am Ubers, had no support beyond a $12 meal voucher, and were repeatedly told “there’s nothing else we can do.” This experience reflects major failures in both safety and customer care. I won’t be flying AA again anytime soon if I can help it.

They waited until our flight to Athens was already supposed to have departed to let us know that it was delayed. They displayed several gate locations. Kept giving us new updated times, but none of them reflected the 3+ our wait. And all of this was because of their own mechanical issues. When we finally did get a plane, we had to endure a 10-hour flight without any use of working screens. Of course the seatss are absolutely uncomfortable, making it impossible to sleep. The only thing that they did right, was respecting food allergies and having pleasant Greek flight attendants.
