Fantastic experience. The flight took a little over an hour and was completely stress free! Everyone at the airport was so nice and helpful! Smooth flight , spacious seats on the plane. This flight saved us hours of stressful driving to NC! Thank you. I highly recommend Altoona airport!

My nephew told me about this place. So we gave it a try! And yes, we will go back! Easy drive, no long lines. Free parking. Great little Mexican restaurant. And best of all, a nice smooth flight!! You do not have to be there 2 hours in advance either!!

From start to finish, everything was convenient, relaxing, and surprisingly stress-free — a rare combo when it comes to air travel these days! A huge shoutout to the staff at AOO Altoona Regional Airport for their friendly and welcoming vibe. The airport is small but mighty — clean, efficient, and easy to navigate. No long lines, no chaos… just in and out with ease. Contour Airlines made the trip from Tampa (via Charlotte) incredibly smooth. The flight was comfortable, on-time, and hassle-free. Honestly, I can't thank Contour and the Airport Authority enough for making it so easy to get back to Blair County after nearly 8 years away. And last but not least, the Avis Car Rental team at AOO was excellent. Super helpful, quick check-in and return process, and the vehicle was in great shape. I never thought I’d say this, but flying into Altoona was one of the most relaxing travel experiences I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to do it again. ✈️🚗🏔️

Very comfortable and welcoming. FBO. Lots of space on the ramp with a large runway to land. You can walk from the fbo to the restaurant which is yummy and delicious. Highly recommend stopping here for all your needs. Aviation wise. There is also a hanger if you book in advance to store your aircraft in.

Really nice little airport. Easy TSA screening process and cheap non-stop flights to Charlotte.
