We booked the Canyon, Waterfalls & Wildlife Excursion with Yellowstone Wild after doing a lot of research (and gut feel!), and they truly lived up to their reputation. Our guide, MATT, was outstanding — friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the park. He was helpful to other people outside of our tour as well. While wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, with Matt’s expertise (and a bit of luck!) we saw an amazing variety: grizzly and black bears, a pack of wolves, bisons, elks, pronghorns, and even a coyote. The Canyon and waterfalls were breathtaking, and we were lucky to have perfect weather. Even the drive itself was a highlight — Yellowstone is simply stunning. This tour gave us experiences we never would have managed on our own. Highly recommend Yellowstone Wild, especially if you want the best chance at wildlife sightings combined with beautiful scenery.

We had a great time on the Bear and Wolf Wildlife Tour! Our guide, Evan, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about both the animals and Yellowstone park itself. He was able to find all the animals on our list and much more. I also appreciate how he helped the kids spot the wildlife and kept them engaged with other points of interest. The van was clean, the gear well maintained, and the snacks were tasty. We highly recommend this tour!

We learned about Yellowstone Wild by these reviews being uniformly 5 star and they really lived up to it. We met Erik at Canyon Village on a snowy October morning. He was friendly from the start and offered us coffee and pastries while we rode to our first area. The car was clean and comfortable and the back packed with a nice set of gear to observe animals. Erik was very knowledgeable about both park and the wildlife. We were most interested in wolves so he took us to an area where a pack had had a recent kill. Once out of the car, we heard howling over the first hill which got us very excited. Thus started a full day of adventure where he taught us how to track the wolves using clues and animal signs eventually ending with us seeing a whole variety of animals along the way. We saw coyotes diving and catching rodents, bison galore, and an epic showdown of a 500 pound grizzly defending a bison carcass against two other grizzlies. The climax came after we had hiked a ways along a trail, following tracks, hair, and other clues to find a pack of wolves keeping watch and playing together on a ridge. The company will provide you with excellent binoculars and scopes which can attach to your phone camera to capture the moments. Erik then took us to an excellent spot with a lovely view for a full lunch provided by the company and concluded with a walk and talk around the Canyon Falls area. I cannot recommend this company highly enough for a custom and highly educational experience. Erik worked so hard to make sure we saw wolves. Seeing wildlife is never guaranteed but you can be assured they will give you your money's worth in effort.

My husband and I went on the Bear and Wolf private wildlife tour. We had Laura for our guide. Laura took us to several different spots, we were able to see wolves, bison, bears, and pronghorns. She was great at answering all of our questions. She has a vast knowledge of Yellowstone. We were quite impressed by her!

What an amazing experience we had with our guide Parker on the Bear & Wolf Wildlife Tour! From the coffee & hot cocoa at 5:30am, the sunrise over Lamar Valley, catching the Junction Butte pack moving across the landscape, a black bear running in the morning light, prong horns, Bison galore, Elk, mountain goats and a beautiful Osprey eating his afternoon catch - every moment of the day was fantastic. Parker's knowledge of the animals, the park history, and geological make up were amazing. I'm so glad we decided to do the tour - there's just sooooo much we would have missed if we were on our own.
