When you imagine a small airport- just imagine it even smaller. Really easy to fly in and out of. They serve Seattle's best coffee and have a good creamer selection in the shop as well. Very small, quick airport to fly out of. We will use it more frequently when traveling to the area for business. Security is very slow and outdated. Their machine that spins around of you flags every guest making it a silly piece of equipment to use here. All and all good flight in and out though

This airport is fine. Not sure why so many bad reviews. It’s pretty much what one would expect from a very small airport. The terminal is small but we found seating. Plenty of parking on floor 3 of the garage. Pre check TSA took all of 7 minutes. They have a concession store with tons of snacks including gluten free options. Cheap prices as well. If you’re concerned about crowding get here 2-3 hours before your flight.

This airport is a gem. Yes it is super small (just a couple of gates) but the security line moves quickly and they do still have a small shop with some food. You can occasionally find some awesome direct flights out of here so you dont have to go into NYC or Hartford.

It’s a very small airport so if your plane doesn’t work properly, they can’t replace it with another one. So they leave you there for several hours. I would not recommend this place at all.

I took a flight from Westchester County Airport to Arizona. I had a connection in North Carolina that I almost missed because boarding got delayed almost 45 minutes at Westchester. I understand that sometimes delays happen, but the airline staff did not communicate with any of the passengers, including myself, on what was happening. They left us completely in the dark and didn’t explain to any of us why boarding was so late. I spoke to a few other passengers and they were very confused and frustrated, as well. When boarding was finally called (45 minutes later), I showed my boarding pass to the staff there and explained to her that I had a close connection and was worried I was going to miss it. She was very rude, saying, “you have to move faster, girl.” Excuse me, but you do not talk to passengers that way, especially when it’s their fault for the delay in the first place and therefore would have been their fault if I had missed my connection. She had no right to rush me or be rude to me like that at all. Also, she nor any of the other staff apologized to any of us for the delayed boarding and lack of communication. Because of delayed boarding, I wasn’t able to enjoy my flight because I was stressed the entire time about missing my connection. By the time we got into North Carolina, I had to quite literally run all the way to my next connection and barely made it in time as it was halfway across the airport. Also, I had no time in between my connections because of the delayed boarding, so I couldn’t charge my phone or eat at all. Because of this, my phone died on the plane and I couldn’t communicate with my friend who was picking me up from the airport or use it on the plane for entertainment. I had to go an entire flight without eating as all they provided was pretzels and a drink on the plane. As a paying customer and passenger, I should not have to run across the airport to my next connection, it was ridiculous. A flight is supposed to be a relaxing experience and I am very displeased that I payed a lot of money and got this experience in return. As mentioned before, I completely understand that sometimes delays happen that are out of the airport’s control. However, when this happens, it is the airline staff’s responsibility to communicate with passengers, which they did not do. Also, if delays happen, an apology to the passengers is the least they can provide. I used this airport because it was local and easy to access. However, because of this experience, I will not be using this airport again for any future trips. Last year, I took a trip to the same place and used JFK. It was a million times better than my experience at Westchester County Airport. Boarding was on time and in a quickly manner. The staff also went above and beyond to communicate with passengers and make sure everyone was comfortable. I would suggest JFK airport to anyone and everyone. I know that Westchester County Airport is a successful airport, but my experience with them was far from satisfactory. I hope that in the future, they do a better job of communicating with passengers and avoiding delays.

If I could give zero stars to White Plains Airport, I absolutely would. The American Airlines employees here are some of the rudest, most unprofessional staff I’ve ever encountered in all my years of traveling. Nothing but attitude and entitlement from the moment I walked up. To make matters worse, a woman in line behind me decided to butt into my conversation with the gate staff — which honestly just reflects the entitled energy of this place. I travel constantly and I know the size of my carry-on. It fits in overhead bins perfectly. Yet here, the AA staff forced me to check it, not because of size, but because they felt like being difficult. I explained my flight was already delayed and I would only have 20 minutes to make my connection. Instead of showing a shred of empathy, they made it worse by insisting I’d have to pick up my bag after landing, cutting into my already limited time and making my connection nearly impossible. And to top it all off? The American Airlines gate agent checking tickets actually had the nerve to roll her eyes at me and say, “today is not the day.” Excuse me? That is beyond unprofessional. For someone working in customer service, that level of disrespect is unacceptable. This airport is small, disorganized, and staffed with American Airlines employees who act like they’re on a power trip instead of helping travelers. Between the unnecessary baggage rules, the complete lack of customer service, and the flat-out rudeness, this is easily one of the worst airports I’ve ever traveled through. If you have any choice at all, avoid White Plains and avoid flying here — it’s not worth the stress.
