I just heard of this airport. I thought I would let you know that my late father, Warren E. Field was a P-51 pilot in WWII. His squadron was the " Yellow Scorpions" out of Burma. I would be interested to find out who the airport was named after. Thank You.

Great place! I flew in and was helped by Andrew to get some fuel. He noticed I had some leaking oil and helped me do some investigating. We found the issue and he made some phone calls to make sure I was back in the air shortly. I was given the courtesy van to get lunch. When I got back, Andrew had the answers! I got taken care of and back in the air on my original estimate time of departure before the issue! I couldn't have done that without Andrew. The FBO is clean with a conference room, flight planning room, pilot lounge, and a quiet room for those much needed naps while flying around the country.

As a newly minted pilot. This airport offers a good experience for learning without too much embarrassment. Just a reminder, only one runway lights up at night. Make sure you read the charts and the AFD before flying in there.I flew there at night come on the self serve for general aviation and those who are on a charter business, was self explanatory and easy to use.
