Are you traveling from USA to India, Kindly dont book tickets at Turkish Airlines. They will book flights on code share with Indigo Airlines. Worst Booking Experience, You are not allowed to select seats and meals from any location in USA to any location in Turkiye. Only god knows, what seat and what meal you will get. If you vegetarian, It is advised to get your own food.

We paid for 5 extra bags at $250 each (for the total of $1250) on a Turkish Airlines flight from Houston to Kathmandu, Nepal as financial assistance for the passenger who runs a nonprofit. There were last minute decisions and only 2 extra bags were transported. When the passenger checked in, I asked for a refund at the check-in desk and I was informed that refunds are processed by customer service. When I called customer service, I was told to go to the website and file a request for the refund under “feedback forms”. It is arcane, but I did it. The response stated the passenger needed to file the refund request. I went to the Turkish Airlines office in Houston, asked Nina about the refund for $750, and she directed me to the website. I filed my refund request on the website again and the website requested confirmation from the passenger who resides in Kathmandu. He completed the process on the website and the refund of $750 was deposited into his bank in Kathmandu. We donated the $750 to the passenger’s nonprofit organization. Both Nina and Reema were patient and customer service oriented. My husband and I brought a bouquet of flowers to thank them for their kind assistance.

I am extremely disappointed with Turkish Airlines’ so-called “service.” I had a 9-hour layover in Istanbul with my family, including a child and an infant, and was flatly told that I do not qualify for a hotel. Imagine being stuck in an airport for almost 10 hours, exhausted after a long intercontinental flight, and the airline refuses to provide even basic accommodation. Turkish Airlines advertises itself as a leading international carrier, but their transit support is a joke. Other airlines treat passengers with respect and provide hotels for long layovers, but Turkish uses loopholes in their policy to avoid taking care of their customers. Nine hours is not a “short layover” — it’s an entire workday sitting in the terminal with no rest, no hotel, and no consideration. This is unacceptable, especially for families and loyal passengers who fly Turkish regularly. If you are considering flying with them, be prepared for long, miserable layovers with no help at all. I expected better treatment from a “world class” airline, but clearly, customer care is not their priority.

Nina N. from the Turkish Airlines Houston office was absolutely not helpful by email. I was due a refund for a canceled flight, and she gave me mountains of mindless paperwork to do as "punishment" for asking for that refund. I asked her questions, she ignored them. She is a typical do-nothing bureaucrat, and has left a negative impression upon me about Turkish Airlines. I will not fly Turkish again bc of my experience with Nina.

We flew from Athens via Istanbul to Houston and San Antonio. They fed us cheese and bread for 3 meals (over 12 hours). We asked for food and they told us they had a chef on the plane! Great, tell the chef to bring us something other than bread and cheese? So they brought us pasta with cheese. I thought Turkey had good food but apparently not. I also had seat 9H and it was constantly in the way of the curtain for business class toilet. I couldn’t even watch a movie on my screen because they constantly throw that curtain on my legs and body. I had it fixed by tying the curtains in half but business class stewardess did not allow this and made me suffer the entire flight. We paid for upgrade seats even though they used my seat and area for their own purposes. I complained and they told me to take the survey at the end of the flight. I wanted a refund of $75 for this seat from hell.
