Tried and true commuter school. The campus feels absolutely dead. It's quiet, there is little school spirit, and the students are either all extremely introverted, or avoid socializing. There is this strange vibe on campus, it just feels off. It feels heavy and somewhat depressing. If you want the 'true' college experience, do not attend UTSA. UTSA is also, clearly, a stepping stone for students in the CAP program trying to get to UT Austin, so that is probably definitely contributing to the lack of school spirit on campus. Every time I hear faculty say 'Be proud to be a Roadrunner', or something along those lines, it never really clicks, it doesn't feel authentic. Can't speak on the dorms, I don't live there, and I can't speak on the prices because I'm a GI Bill student (apparently the school is very reasonably priced, though). For the veterans out there, the VRC at UTSA is great, they will treat you right. You're in good hands with them for sure. I had some quality instructors at UTSA, and all of them were passionate about the subjects they taught. That said, if you truly are just trying to make it through and get your degree while being strictly academic-focused, UTSA could be a good option for you.

Journey is the absolute best, top notch service! So kind and attentive. Everyone here is great but she stands out for sure. Always a great meal here and the staff are all so lovely

If you are looking at going to UTSA for grad school, dont waste your money applying here. The facilities are not great and they have idiotic policies in place. The biggest one is during the application period, they tell you to send official and unofficial transcripts, then you will send in the official transcripts for your unofficial after admittance. Then when they request your transcripts after admission and enrollment, they require that you send all transcripts to include the previous official transcripts sent through parchment. Save your time and money and avoid UTSA and San Antonio like its a plague, go to one of the other UT universities or look at universities in Oklahoma.

I attended UTSA for three semesters for a business degree before transferring out to pursue an English degree. I feel they had a solid business program with knowledgeable professors and a wide variety of elective and major coursework classes. I also felt that tuition costs were reasonable for the education I received there. I was recently disappointed to find out they've teamed up with Parchment and no longer offer transcripts through their registrar's office. Parchment is expensive, and the costs add up when you're sending them to more than one recipients. Other universities offer the no cost route by picking them up in person, so shame on them in this respect.

Joined Carrabba’s for their November monthly wine dinner. Have been to a number of these and have enjoyed them, hence we came again. This was probably the busiest/fullest monthly wine dinner we have been to. Our waitress was Journey; she was friendly, courteous, and attentive. Good time, good food, and good service.
