I completed the introductory class, and I loved it so much that I’m starting a wheel-throwing class! Danielle is incredibly knowledgeable and so very patient! Her teaching style is clear and easy to follow, and the environment is warm and welcoming. As a total beginner, I felt comfortable asking questions, and the inevitable mistakes were met with encouragement. I look forward to learning for many more sessions to come!!

The Mud Room is fantastic! I have taken several classes here. Danielle is a great teacher, the class sizes are just right, and it’s a perfect place for both beginners and experienced potters. I always look forward to class!

I had planned a special anniversary night for my wife and me — dinner followed by a pottery class I spent weeks finding. Less than 24 hours before the class, I got a call saying it was canceled because some other participants came down with COVID. While I understand illness can’t be helped, the way it was handled was incredibly unprofessional. The instructor actually chuckled while telling me she “doesn’t normally run a class with only two people,” as if our night together wasn’t worth the effort. No attempt was made to acknowledge how disappointing this was. This wasn’t just a casual booking — this was an anniversary plan that had been in place for weeks, and her dismissive tone made it clear our business wasn’t valued. After I expressed my frustration, she emailed to offer a refund (which I do appreciate) and a discount for a future class. She also stated that it’s “industry standard” to cancel if there aren’t enough people — however, this is not stated anywhere on her website or during the booking process. The site lists policies for when customers cancel, but nothing about when she may cancel due to low enrollment.

I took a planter workshop and got hooked. I'm now enrolled in the wheel throwing class. Danielle is a very patient and thorough instructor. I'm looking forward to more classes in the future!
