My daughter has been taking classes for about one year with Texas Actors Workshop. The experience for her, as well as for me, a new mother to the industry, has been outstanding! From day one, John McAteer has provided an enthusiastic, positive, and noncompetitive environment. He cultivates a culture that is rare in this time. John meets each child where they are at in their experience, and builds them up with the help of the other classmates. He provides a place for kids to be creative with the beauty of a cohesive classroom. During class the children offer positive, constructive feedback to each other. John builds the concept of teamwork by having them create and act-out scripts together, perform improv, and much more. His passion as a coach goes beyond each lesson, as he intentionally seeks to grow each actor and their family. John and his team have invested time in helping me learn the "ins and outs" of the industry so I can be an educated and equipped mom. He is so dedicated and we appreciate all he has done and continues to do!

Both of my children have been attending John’s online youth class for over 6 months now and we have all loved the experience. They get to be creative and learn the ins and outs of acting along with writing etc. John has been a great teacher to to them and me as well as we all came in with zero knowledge of how anything in this industry works. We came into this as just a way for them to be creative and have now been signed to an agency thanks to everything they have learned.
