Ted Stevens anchorage International Airport is a world-class airport located in Anchorage, Alaska. It is the largest airport in the state and provides flights to all major American cities as well as smaller cities and towns within Alaska. The airport is clean, well organized, and they have a variety of food and drink options, including Hudson news, Cinnabon, and many other places. They have every car rental facility as well, including Avis, national, enterprise, Alamo, dollar etc. Numerous hotels located nearby the hotel, and many offer a free shuttle service.

Really nice airport. Only downside is a lot of very late departures happen and there are very few places open to eat or drink. This places seems to close down wayyyyyy too early

Having watched Ice Airport Alaska, it was so cool to finally get the chance to fly into this airport. Awesome just looking at the scenery as you approaching the airport. Nice layout of the airport. Lots of displays of native animal info and history. Really cool history images of the airport as you walk to the car rental. Left mom with the luggage while I went to get the rental car. The pickup for the cruises is by baggage claim. First door as you are coming into the airport. Good info booth by baggage claim as well. Got some good books and info. Everyone was nice. Absolutely worth it. Fly into this airport at least once. And tour the airport too outside.

Safe, which is all that really matters. One warning, I have a puddle jumper flight down to Kenai. It is delayed, but no way to know that till you're at the gate. Unfortunately anywhere selling food outside security is closed (9:30pm) except for Hudson News selling crazy expensive snacks. Cool taxidermy in the airport (bear, moose). A gates smell pretty strongly of fuel. Employees are pleasant.

Beautiful airport. Very modern and clean. Very organized with good signage. Plane spotting area inside TSA . Go to Starbucks and find the stairs behind to go upstairs to museum and views bf area. Lots of seating too. If you have a layover waiting for your bus to Seward get a uber to the Seaplane port 5 min from the airport then go to Windsor Park north side of the airfield to see the views and plane spot.

The airport moved very quickly even with the shutdown. My dog wasn't sure he wanted to go and tried to escape lol. The flight was nice on Alaska Airlines. They took extra care of my needs especially when traveling with an animal.

Traveling a week before Thanksgiving and during a government shutdown...I didn't know what to expect. Security and lines were minimal for my early flight. First time in this airport since the 90s. Beautiful day outside, just cold. Lol. I enjoyed the layout of this airport, many shops and food selections. Don't forget to notice the taxidermy exhibits.
