    Shame on Air Portugal We are deeply disappointed and heartbroken by the way we were treated by Air Portugal during a time of real crisis. Due to the war, we were unable to take our scheduled flight. For days, we were told to call on the day of our flight to “see what they could do.” When that day came, they offered no help whatsoever-not even a future flight credit. Instead, they had the audacity to ask for more money to change our flight. We fully understand that airlines have policies. But when lives are at stake, and people are stranded in a war zone, compassion should override red tape. Air Portugal showed zero humanity. No flexibility, no support, no empathy. We’ve been stuck far longer than we ever expected, and our funds are exhausted. Air Portugal had the chance to help-if only a little-but they chose profit over people. We will never forget that. If you’re looking for an airline that stands by its passengers in moments of real need, look elsewhere.

    The worst customer service ever. My son was supposed to fly from Dublin to Madrid via Lisbon on a 4am flight. He checked into the flight and 20 minutes later received an email saying that his flight from Dublin to Lisbon was going to be 6 1/2 hours late and he would miss his connecting flight. He only received a boarding pass for the first flight not the flight from Madrid to Lisbon. Since he’s out of the country, he only has access to WhatsApp and they only have a hardline customer service number so he asked me to call. I called US customer service in Boston and was on hold waiting for an agent for over an hour when I finally reached one, she was absolutely useless. Isabella proceeded to tell me that the flight was still leaving at 4 even though I have a copy of the email and the boarding pass shows boarding at 9:30. She insisted that my son needed to go to the airport for the 4 am flight. She couldn’t confirm that he would even have a connection if the 1st leg was delayed. Website and the boarding pass said differently flight was delayed until 10:30. She told me she didn’t have access to the TAP website. Train your customer service agents to be a little more knowledgeable when there are issues like this.

    I cancelled 4 business class tickets between Lisbon to Boston within 24 hours of booking, they refused to give me full refund by deducting 400 euros for each ticket. I complained to TAP twice as their refund policy clearly stated 24 hours full refund. They still refused full refund by saying I paid Euro (I actually paid with my US credit card). Anyway I will sue them in both Massachusetts court and Lisbon court to resolve this matter. I will update everyone online for legal progress. Can't believe they don't endorse their own policy. By the way, every other airline I flew before has always endorsed 24 hours refund policy.

    I have flown with this airline 2 times. The first one was in December 2019, from Spain to Boston to spend Christmas Eve with my husband, and the second one was in October 2022 from Boston to Spain for our annual vacation. Both experiences were great. TAP Air offers high quality services like: comfortable seats, pillows, sheets, 3 good meals and drinks (juices, coffee, chocolate, water and wine) included in the economy class.The flight attendants are very kind and polite, they are always willing to help you. The only dissatisfied aspect I can tell is that all their flights to Europe arrive in Portugal. So, if you want to travel to any other country in Europe using TAP you must know that you will have a stop in Portugal. However, they have a lot of connecting flights to the rest of the continent. So far, I have had a very good experience with this Airline which I highly recommend to travel with if you have the opportunity.

    DO NOT FLY TAP AIRLINES !! TAP charged us at the gate in Lisbon 115 euros each for the same luggage that flew from Boston to Lisbon and later in our stay from Porto to Lisbon. This occurred after a 7 hour delay. The food is inedible and the seat/leg room non-existent. Not worth the savings. Also, there is no one to communicate with in the TAP airlines.
