The conduct of a Swissport agent who was managing the Ryanair boarding process for flight FR667 from Birmingham (BHX) to Dublin on 15 November 2025, at approximately 17:05 was intimidating, unprofessional, and unlawful, and it falls far below the standards expected of airport ground staff. Summary of the Incident When I approached the boarding pass scanner, the agent rushed me aggressively, urging me to scan my boarding pass quickly. After checking my valid passport, he instructed me to place my small cabin bag in the baggage sizer. Note here I was at the end of the queue with one of the smallest luggages in the flight and I was the only one who he has choosen to be checked. Due to crowding at the gate, the sizer was blocked by other passengers. Instead of managing the queue or assisting, the agent loudly and repeatedly shouted to his colleague, “check her luggage”, publicly singling me out and causing embarrassment. My bag fit perfectly within the allowed dimensions. When I calmly said I intended to file a complaint about his behaviour, he escalated the situation. He demanded my passport again, kept it, refused to return it, wrote down my details, and threatened to add me to a “rude customer list.” He also falsely claimed to be a solicitor and asserted that he had the legal right to retain my passport. Only when I began looking for airport security did he return it, adding that he “could restrict my flight but was being nice.” Swissport agents are abusive and because they are underpaid Swissport does not sack them which puts passengers that we pay for that service in danger. I will be escalating the matter to UK Civil Aviation Authority.

My experience with EasyJet was infuriating! Just when I thought things couldn’t get worse, I witnessed two Swissport staff members standing at the gate, discussing whether to close the gate or let the remaining passengers on. They ultimately chose to close the gate, leaving several of us stranded. When I approached the Swissport desk to express my concerns, the staff showed no interest in listening. They simply told me to go online and submit my complaint through their website, as they didn’t have time to address anyone's issues in person. It was incredibly frustrating to feel completely disregarded as a passenger. This whole ordeal has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I would definitely recommend steering clear of EasyJet and their associated services!

Ishmael/Ismail is the biggest joke of a staff member ever. Got his little (literally) friend to pretend to be management, after trying to stop us boarding our flight. He clearly gets a power trip in this role due to feeling unfulfilled in his sad little life. I see a fake review here mentioning his “great” customer service. Absolutely not. All bad reviews here about Swissport staff at Birmingham airport are accurate. Luckily we flew from Manchester airport the next day with no issues. Swissport needs better staff members who aren’t failed uni students looking for validation in their jobs at the expense of paying travellers.

Lack of communication to passengers when there was a delay in the transfere of bags from the plane to the baggage reclaim. BHX U2431 01/07/24. All of the passengers waited in excess of 45 mins which added to the delay following on from the late flight. No one was around to explain. We were all tired and just needed to know what was happening. Could not find any link for customer service for feed back. Very disappointed.
