SunStone Pottery is awesome. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and supportive. I’m just getting started with slip casting, and even though that’s not the shop’s main focus (they are primarily a pottery studio), they have been willing to answer every question (even stuff I should probably already know) and help me get all the supplies I've needed to setup my own studio. Abby and Loren have been especially great! I’ve visited the studio four or five times now, and each visit has been a genuinely positive experience. I recently brought in a glazed ceramic Christmas tree for firing and it turned out perfect. The whole process, from drop off to pickup, including how they handle kiln scheduling, was seamless and organized. Turnaround time was impressively fast too. Highly recommend.

Sunstone is the best pottery supply store in town. They are so kind and patient. I’ve been doing pottery for a few years and was looking for a place to get clay, glaze, tools, and stains. They had it all! Their clay selection is vast, carrying all the laguna clays you could want and some clays from Aardvark. And! The glaze selection is amazing! I always end up leaving with more than I had on my list. They carry a lot of tools as well. The team is super knowledgeable and if they don’t have an answer they know someone in the community who does. So glad to have such a great store here locally.

The folks at Sunstone are the absolute best! I have been using them for all my pottery needs for the last 18 years. My school has been using them for 30+! They have a huge selection of clay, glazes, glaze materials and tools. The are so knowledgeable we couldn't do what we do without them!

Sunstone is the best! They helped me create a special custom project for my mom to do with her grandkids. She's had some health issues lately & this boosted her spirits tremendously. I appreciate Sunstone taking this on. It may not have seemed like a big deal to them, but it made a world of difference. Thanks, Sunstone, for accommodating our special request!

Just starting pottery and in SLC visiting family. The gentleman here was so friendly and knowledgeable. Gave me a ton of tips and patient with my (far too many) questions. Would definitely recommend and will be back when in the SLC area.
