This is a nice little regional airport. I'm not a pilot, so I can't honestly assess how nice. But it was good to come here for the open house. The "warbirds" were fun to see. It's interesting to lay eyes on the light bombers and realize that although they look similar to the same period fighters, they're much larger than one would assume.

My wife had gotten me an intro flight for Christmas and it was so cool. Scott did an incredible job. Would highly recommend SCFS for anyone considering receiving their training or just looking to get out and experience flight.

I also watch the small planes make their rounds sometimes when it's not too windy. It gets windy here from lack of trees. Lots of farmland though.

We have Young Eagle flights April to October every 2nd Saturday weather permitting ages 8 to 17. Parents must sign children up for flights. Airport is very scenic with the Commemorative Airforce hanger a short walk away. Come visit!
