the baggage service was decent, nothing extraordinary. had to wait a bit longer than expected, but overall an okay experience.

I was asked if I was traveling alone and if I would be willing to move seats because a family was needing to set together. I was like sure that’s not a problem I’m a mother of 3 sons and I wouldn’t want to be split either... I gave but I didn’t receive anything in exchange from Spirit. If you accommodate one you accommodate the other party if it’s miles or an upgrade on your next travel. So that’s why I’m only giving a 3 Star ⭐️

Took a flight out of Houston IAH last night. Paid $49 to check in a bag. When we arrive in Atlanta after midnight our bag is nowhere to be found. Baggage claims tells us it doesn't appear to have ever left Houston. Tells me how to do a claim and that they typically have it to you within 24 hours, which is a relief since we are in town for my daughters Grad school graduation and the big gathering we have arranged is tonight. I call Spirit later as I notice the tracker still shows searching for my baggage and they tell me 3-5 days. We'll be home by then. So, I will not be attending my daughters party or graduation as everything is in that suitcase for me and my two children and there just wasn't enough time to run around and do the things I came to do for the event and completely reinvent us at the same time. They have ruined a once in a lifetime event and don't even care while I try to show a strong face for my family and fight back the tears. Really need the government to get more involved with these airlines.

Since coming to Atlanta and leaving my daughter in Miami, we have used Spirit quite a few times. So far we have had no troubles. The plane has always left on time and the one delay we had was only 30 minutes. The flight is comfortable. The flight attendants have been very friendly for the most part… Except one who spoke like we were bad children All the time lol! And we just take a backpack because the prices for bags are ridiculous. Not a bad airline, especially if you booked the early flight in the morning.

This was my first time flying Spirit. For the price, it was OK. The flights were all on time which was the most important for our same-day in/out trip. Some of the flight attendants were friendly, most were just "OK" but one was blatantly rude. My husband asked if he could use the restroom while the plane was stopped waiting to taxi in. He was allowed (I did not fully hear this part of the conversation) Then, as the plane started to taxi in, an elderly woman (who didn't speak English) tried to do the same. The flight attendant was very firmly telling (not asking) the woman to SIT DOWN, and continued saying it louder and louder until my husband - who speaks Spanish - explained to the lady what the flight attendant was telling her. The flight attendant then sharply said "See! This is what happens!" I was totally shocked by her actions. Maybe I am being a little too particular here because we were exhausted from our all-day adventure, but our flight left at 8:00PM (9:00PM Atlanta time - which is home) and arrived close to 11:00PM...it seemed they came on with announcements a little too frequently. We were trying to sleep on the plane, and we received updates a little more than the typical flight, with the big announcement at 10:00PM about their credit card offer. I know this is a budget airline, but, being in the customer service industry myself, I think great customer service is a possibility (and should be a priority) in a service related industry. Overall, the experience was average. Nothing that was enough to keep me from flying with them again, I just had my expectations set a little higher by other airlines.
